  1. Thanks pipsky, we had the new ward officer, PC fodor, round this morning who was infinitely helpful. The cameras were Yi cameras from amazon. Cheap and cheerful, probably saved us lots this time.
  2. Hi sorry incredibly overwhelmed by responses. Please search Crystal Palace Road SE22 on facebook
  3. Thanks Miss Wiggy, he stole a camera which ironically makes it burglary rather than just breaking and entering so I'm hoping so!
  4. We are just past Cawthew (not very far though), before the leisure centre
  5. Hi, this man broke into my second floor flat on Crystal Palace road today at 2pm after ringing the intercom for 3 minutes. He walked in, around the flat being caught on camera (see attached image - video too large to upload here but is doing the rounds on facebook). He then noticed a camera infront of the front door, shouted some profanities, stole the camera and disappeared. I have no doubt he would have taken more had he not seen the cameras and frankly coming home with a baby and 5 year old to a broken door and no idea if someone is inside the flat has pissed me off a bit. So if you know or recognise him please get in touch. The police are circulating his image. Thanks xx
  6. I'd be interested in an active role if needed!
  7. Hi, I live on CPR and have been walking along it earlier than usual recently (my 4 year old has just started school). Perhaps it is the timing of our new walks but almost every other day either pushchair (for newborn), scooter, small feet or my own larger feet are finding dog poo often too late to avoid it. PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOGS. I CLEAN ENOUGH SHIT AT HOME.
  8. Hi, just some specific knowledge.. Chadwick Road has been targeted recently by a group knocking on doors asking for a friend (i.e "does Dave live here?") and seeing who's home then coming back later and robbing the place. My family live on the road and had a guy at the door looking for someone which we initially thought was strange but the guy left without issue. The following day the police knocked to ask if we'd had any similar incidents as someone further up had been robbed after the same thing.
  9. Hello! Due my second on the 30th of July. I grew up in the area but had my first in deepest darkest Hackney so feel a bit lost doing it again down here! I've requested to join the FB group and will PM my number - looking forward to chatting Mel
  10. We've just been to visit Goodrich school and they mentioned after school Judo classes that are open to the public - worth a try
  11. Thanks for your post Johnie! Wish we'd seen it earlier as we also got back late from work so our three year old saw lots of "come earlier next year!" signs - just wanted to say thanks for being so considerate!
  12. Hello, Another recommendation - Rachel Lester at Levenes 02071487851 who handled a settlement agreement for a friend of mine and an issue for me personally. Her rates are ?250/hour I believe.
  13. I'm not too familiar with nub theory but know the forehead theory which would also suggest boy! Congratulations either way!
  14. That's very sweet EDAus! Have you heard of the Teal Pumpkin project? By having a teal pumpkin outside (even a print out) it shows parents that your home has "treats" other than sweets etc incase any children have allergies. We'll be up and down CPR with our 3.5 year old - it will be her first time! Not sure who's more excited - ha!
  15. This happened to my parents on Chadwick road recently. Police and Southwark council can only remove a car if you have a registered dropped curb. You can register a dropped curb freely via the council and when this happens they can send someone out to ticket the vehicle and, eventually, tow it. My mother was blocked in for almost three days before she could get her car out. Not nice for older people.
  16. Hi, just curious. My now 2.5 year old had her BCG at 12 weeks if I remember correctly (I was suprised because I had mine at 15 or so at school). At the time we were living in Hackney, is the immunisation schedule different here?
  17. If I can help at all with babysitting while you look for somewhere your daughter is more than welcome to come over and play with mine in the evenings/at weekends. Mine is 2.5. My number is 07507855121 Mel x
  18. We live about 300m away too and won't be applying until the end of 2016 for the following September but it is our first choice I went there myself many moons ago and was rejected (non-Christian, living 5 mins away) but appealed after one week at another school on the basis of coming from a "different" faith home and spent 7 happy years there. I'm half thinking about starting to go to church though.. we'll be married at St johns this year, does that count?
  19. Hi Carolina, There is a group on facebook called "For sale in East dulwich and Peckham" and a lady has just advertised a room in SE9 (Mottingham). I don't know if it would work for you as you did say rental is not an option and its a bit far out but you've been on my mind all day so thought I'd mention. Will keep my eyes open! Here is the link: www.spareroom.co.uk/4464804
  20. 2 bed flat (same as ours but modernised - sadly we're only renting!) just went for 500K..
  21. -- moved topic --
  22. Obviously the solution is for people to cease reproducing thus solving the issue of both children and prams. You're welcome.
  23. It's a shame because good office space is hard to come by too. It could have been a building which created long term job opportunities or a school to target the current shortage in the area.. rather than attracting more people who's children will need schools etc etc you see where I'm going. That said, a 4 bed townhouse sounds nice.
  24. Blimey, did anyone make it to the memorial. Do we know what the safeguarding issue was? I was personally around him for much of my childhood and a bit shocked really
