I remember a press article about how fantastic it was that the council had finally purchased this property(with tax payers money!!) only to now demolish it. How disgusting!! The whole thing is a sham! I have watched that property go to rack and ruin over the last 40 years. A complete waste from beginning to end!

The campaign website distributed downloadable bumper stickers (pictured) and in conjunction with intensive campaigning by residents and assistance from the Association of British Drivers, the council has been forced to execute a 'U' turn and order the removal of the humps as a matter of priority. The council will instead install a pedestrian crossing and vehicle-activated speed limit warning signs. In 2003, South Gloucestershire Council installed speed humps on Shireway in the town after just 38 people responded favourably to a consultation. About 4500 people live in the immediate area. Following intensive campaigning by residents fed up with the humps, a second consultation received 435 responses of which only around 60 were in favour of the speed humps remaining. Over 200 people attended a public meeting organised by the council. ABD Policy Director Mark McArthur-Christie said of the result: "All over the country we have seen examples of speed humps and traffic calming being imposed, justified by consultations that have failed to consult all those affected. ?We welcome South Gloucestershire's decision to move away from stone-age traffic calming and towards better, more effective and modern solutions.? Alternativly There is The Wildlife Lodge in Foxgrove Rd.07983708497 They have aviarys there and deal with birds etc all the time. They have vets available to, as do i.

Hiya, I work for RSPCA SE5. If you want you can bring the parrot into me I have access to cages etc and i usually get calls if people have lost their pets. I have not yet had a call but if its a pet it will be missed greatly.

But the customers/adopters are the ones keeping that place afloat and should be treated with the respect that is deserved. Not because we are customers but because we are in a civilised country and are trying to help. i agree with catloverkathy the customers should be treated with the dignity they deserve after all they wouldnt be there if no-one took cats from them. Maybe they should think about that abit more

i got my cats from celia hammonds and i must say that most of the staff there are really nice, unfortunatly there are a few bad apples that like playing god. The work they do there is second to none and its really nice that they help all the cats that need it most. I have had a few issues in the past with the rudeness of the indian receptionist, but obviously she has a god complex and has no life!i just pity her. You should write a letter and make sure you send it to Celia Hammond DIRECT p Racism is not acceptable in this day and age. ThaT should have died out with the dinosaurs!
