  1. Certainly no objections, matthew, you'd be very welcome. Not sure when the next one will be, I think future dates will be announced in the 'what's on' section.
  2. I'd be interested to see a list compiled by someone not of these shores....Brendan? How would you define British culture? Try not to offend our fragile egoes too much!

    OHMYGOD!

    I suspect that Postmodern's 'privilege' is de-activated.
  4. ...Gwlad, gwlad! French fried by Dragon's fiery breath...! In other words, It's chips for France.
  5. Yes I can confirm - it was awesome! ;-)
  6. I confirm I can come, thanks.
  7. Can I please come? I'm keen to get involved.

    OHMYGOD!

So DM, back to the spanx. Are you really sure? Really? All this preparation for the big Event is well and good, but am I right in thinking that the next BMF sessions occur during the week and that the Saturday one was a one-off to drum up volunteers? I'd hate to think you stood there in the Park, looking stunning, with no-one to admire you - except for the lads turning up for their Saturday football match....!

Dear dulwichmum I agree that the trendy ensemble would be a big mistake. However I think grey tracksuit would be good if matched with headband and wristband in fire-engine red. And I suggest black Nike trainers. Avoid white at all costs. Call me Gok from now on.

    OHMYGOD!

I just love this thread. A welcome reprieve from some of the others about at the moment. I hope it bounces along for ages, (just like DM will be as she follows Private Perkybutts around the park).
  13. That's a classic. I laughed out loud at that one.(tu)
  14. If it's true, then it's a tragedy no matter which part of London it happened in.
  15. Sorry you've had such a bad experience there. Personally, I shop there most weeks and have never had a problem. I like it there because it's often less crowded and the pace of shopping is less stressful as a result. Horses for courses, as they say. I don't think that stealing from the shop and then admitting it on the forum is very clever though!
  16. Fair point Jimbob. I'll be more careful with my humour in the future, although it was purely uninentional.
  17. errr.. don't know what that means. Hope it's nice..!
  18. Well said! Aimed at where it should really hurt - her professional integrity. Spot on.
  19. Funnily enough, I've just enjoyed a nice home-made bacon buttie myself - with two rashers of bacon! Such luxury...
  20. Hi andymat, welcome to the forum. I really sympathise with you and your girlfriend! I'll remember to avoid that place - such measly portions!
  21. Mensch smensch, plotz schmotz... is this yiddish or just gibberish?!
  22. Jimbob Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > theres a condom in france and a little village in > somerset called hairy bollocks. I suspect that village in Somerset has been mis-pronounced... the actual name, that reflects its rural heritage, is Dairy Bullocks.

Sorry mate, but I reckoned you deserved it, wearing those shabby jeans with so many holes in. And where was your belt?! Shocking. Still, it certainly gave DM a thrill, judging by her post above... on that subject, I can't believe she's suggesting swinging.... does that kind of thing really happen behind those rustic-green doors of Dulwich Village? Unbelievable....
  25. Absolutely kuntama... in my opinion, we live in a beautiful world and we can't let the actions of a few sully it. In an attempt to disabuse you further, here's a nice story... Today I shared a big smile with someone queuing in a hardware shop as we overheard another customer describing the right tool she needed for the job. In a very serious manner, she explained to the helpful shop assistant "it needs to be 6" or 4" long, but good and stiff - that's the important thing..." She was, of course, shopping for a wallpaper stripper. Priceless.
