    London Calling

I suggest Prisoner of Second Avenue at The Vaudeville on The Strand, with the incredible Jeff Goldblum. Went to see it last night.... and loved it. http://www.vaudeville-theatre.co.uk/current-show.htm For daytime, book a visit to the Dennis Severs Museum in Follgate Street near to Spittalfields Market. It's unique. http://www.dennissevershouse.co.uk/
  9. Yes MP I suppose I'm a narcissist for the act itself, but a sycophant for telling you lot about it...! Both attributes go towards making the complex individual wot I have become. Time for a lie down now, to reflect upon..... me, mainly.

  12. Awww thanks GG *blushes very slightly*
  13. Call me a sycophant, but I still get a sweet thrill street-viewing my own ED street to see gorgeous ol' me staring back, in an amused, slightly bewildered sort of way.
  14. Getting a special treat at that time of life is very worthwhile, I have found.

  17. Oh sorry Narnia. In that case I will go for 112 please Woof - the alternative emergency telephone number (bet not a lot of people know that!)
  18. 999 please Woof (I mean, it has to be really, doesn't it?!)

  20. As a schoolboy, I made from scratch a screw jack - aluminium casting, machine-tooled threaded spindle and brass sheath collar with a floating head. Very proud of it I was and have kept it ever since, hoping that I will use it, should the need arise. In the 30+ years since, I had used it only once. That is, until yesterday. Doing DIY in my kitchen, I found the need to support the weight of a worktop as I worked beneath it... So out came my lovely screw jack! The joy I felt may well have been irrational, but joy it was, nonetheless!
  21. Have fun!
