  1. Hi I?m due number 2 early March and would like to join, I?ll pm My number :)
  2. we sold with them late last year, the market was a little different then though, and our was probably an easyish sell. i found them fine, not amazing, but house was on rightmove (which I'm pretty sure where everyone looks anyway nowadays) and sold in a few weeks. post sale care felt fairly standard. we did get a few valuations and were happy with the price we got. regarding local knowledge, i actually found when we viewed houses(and there were a lot) with traditional agents, the majority didn't know much about the areas, schools etc, beyond what rightmove told us, and we often knew more having researched them. i know that may vary from agent to agent. we did save ourselves quite a few thousand pounds in the end so overall worked for us. on a side note, regarding getting the best price,an estate agent friend of mine says its best for them to get more sales for less, than push for higher prices, as they make more that way overall.
  3. Edhistory yes that what I got, but I wondered why they wouldn't call the police themselves rather than advising residents to, as I would imagine this is something of a common problem in their line of work. I guess I'm just concerned that if this happens again (hopefully not) that ultimately they can't actually stop it.
  4. Is it possible to get some idea of what the noise team can actually do, as I thought (possibly wrongly) they could shut things down but yesterday it seems as if they can ask nicely but if they don't comply that's it?
  5. Managed to get through. Advised to call the police. Not sure if that's right though as seems to be the noise teams role surely?!?
  6. Also can't get through, wonder if it's because so many are calling or they have just stop answering!
  7. Well the current one seems to be doing a good job, it's even louder than thebearlsir ones!
  8. Also agree is ridiculous, as previously said when occasional i didn't mind so much but as getting so regular and so loud (music and base audible in my house with all windows and doors closed) that's it is now unreasonable.
  9. Hi we had a similar problem when ours were first venturing out, with our neighbours not liking cats. Our ssolution for the sake of neighbourly relations was to have our cat flap in the front which we could because of the area outside our front door. Meant the cats naturally didn't go round the back though to be honest I think they lost interest in it anyway after they had had a good sniff! Don't know if that would be an option for you though I think a squirt is ok is full blast could hurt them though and that seems excessive
  10. Hi I'd like to join if ok, I'm due with our first 31st October also! As no little ones flexible with meet ups:)
  11. really sad, condolences to the cat owner. But glad someone found and looked after them, is really kind.
  12. That's such good news! Congrats!
  13. This is horrible. It might be worth contacting 101 and informing them that you have info in case the owner calls them but doesnt check the forum (sorry if you already have). Poor thing really hope the dogs ok.
  14. Will keep an eye out. I know how horrible it is when cats go missing but hopefully he will come back soon!
  15. Not a broken record, must be heart rending. Will keep an eye out Sue
  16. Really hope you find him. will Keep An eye out. He looks to be a lovely chap!
  17. We live on burrow road around the corner, last night our friends car parked in the road at the side of our house was egged all around slightly oddly. Would put it down to a late Halloween prank but was in a row of cars and all the others were left alone. Don't think related to the thefts but just seemed odd at the same time to target a random car.
  18. Thankyou everyone for looking, we really appreciate it. He's just come back tonight.. Covered in paint so not sure where he's been but v relieved to have him back!
  19. Not seen since early morning yesterday(24th) ... Not long I know but he's rarely gone for hour or more usually even in good weather .
  20. Please if anyone has been using their sheds etc check, it'll only take a moment but it's gonna be hot today and I'm worried he won't survive if stuck in one. We thought we maybe saw him around shaw road last night but am not sure! Sorry to keep posting just v worried!
  21. Thankyou LuvED, it's so stressful not knowing where he is or if he's hurt. Isn't like him at all. He does hang out near shaw road so thanks for keeping an eye out!
  22. Our cat, Arthur, black (small white spot on chest but mostly black) with red collar and bell has gone missing. We're worried he may be locked in a shed or similar and he can't meow only squeak(never has been able to meow) to let you know. Please please can anyone using their sheds or garages today check to make sure he's not stuck, especially if on the st Francis estate (burrow road abbotswood etc). He is chipped. We are desperately worried and if anyone has any ideas please let us know.text or call on 07814229196 or 07540529283

  24. I had a feeling someone would do that! I guess we have differing opinions on the matter which is fair enough
  25. I have to disagree, of course there are genuine accidents, things that can't be predicted or stopped. It doesn't mean you shouldn't try but a surprise skid, a car/bike malfunction that couldn't be predicted etc. And in reality probably in many cases mistakes by both parties causing accidents which on a luckier day would have just been a near miss. As I said we should all try and be better, but I feel blaming one side more than an other is not really a solution, in an ideal world cars and bikes would have some form of separation to be prevent these accidents, where I agree sadly the cyclist is likely to come off worse.
