Homestall Road Water leak APPEAL: Black ice crash

PS I'm pretty sure TW are only there tonight as I've already involved Soutwark who reminded them of their duty to ensure the roads are hazard free!! -
Homestall Road Water leak APPEAL: Black ice crash
missmack1981 replied to missmack1981's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I sent hubby down tonight to check and there are Thames Water trucks there.. FINALLY!! I have loads of helpful community members sending me their reports to TW, email exchanges and photos etc. Well done to Southwark and Harris' for gritting today. With drop in temp, there would've certainly been another collision otherwise. Boo to TW.. I hope they admit fault! -
Homestall Road Water leak APPEAL: Black ice crash
missmack1981 replied to missmack1981's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thank you for your message Cinnabar, Harris' have been extremely helpful. They reported the issue multiple times as they feared for the safety of their pupils coming in to school. I have lots of evidence of these reports from Harris' and from the Leak Line at Thames Water. I'm just so relieved I didn't kill anyone. It was low speed but if a child was crossing, there would've been no way to stop. My baby was in the car so I'm furious this had been going on for a week and no warning/ grit or diversion away. I was only on the way to the Charity Shop to donate a load of toys etc.. surely good karma will come my way?!?! -
Homestall Road Water leak APPEAL: Black ice crash
missmack1981 replied to missmack1981's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
bil, I hope your husband is ok? I would really appreciate any dates/ times etc to help with my evidence. I'll pm you my email address and if possible, could he email me details.. if he's ok with doing so? dimples, I've pm'd you. THANK YOU xxx -
Hi all, I had a collision on black ice this week. After Thames Water had failed to fix/warn about burst water pipes or grit road etc. There are no issues with the other car/ drivers details etc all being sorted. What I am interested in is that I have since heard that there have been several incidents on that site because of the leak! I am trying to get evidence to support our view that TW should cover this on their public liability, so that it doesn't affect our insurance policies etc. (I have evidence of reports to TW about the leak dating back to 10th Jan!) SO... did anyone else have a crash on black ice outside Harris' girls school in the last week or so?? Feel free to PM me if you'd prefer Thanks. x

After having an incredible baby swim instructor for my children, I did lots of research and 'shopped' around for a school which would continue the amazing work! I chose Flip and Turn and was not disappointed. They have recently been moved out of St dunstans but Belinda and Alex and some of the instructors now teach under St dunstans swim school. I also took my daughter to flip and turn at Bromley school for a while and the classes still run there. Happy for you to pm me with qus

Hi all, We have organised a small get together for the new Nursery intake. Meeting in the enclosed (dog free picnic) area of Peckham Rye Park on Sunday 23rd Aug from 10am. It'll be just an informal meet up and maybe picnic, weather dependent. There will be siblings there too so feel free to bring them along! PM me if you'd like a contact number otherwise I'll get my children to wear some Ivydale tops so you can identify us!!

Hi all, I'm going to be a Winter Baby's mum again in Jan. Same due date as I had with DD2 4 years ago. This will be number 3 for me. I think moderators set up a group towards the end of Aug for the next Winter Babies so we may have to move! Congratulations though and I look forward to getting to know you all. WBC was definitely invaluable last time. X x

Primary school catchment map - 2014/15
missmack1981 replied to trefford21's topic in The Family Room Discussion
"We now know that it is highly unlikely that the Inverton Road site will be ready to open in September 2016. This is due to issues arising during the demolition phase as well as a re- assessment of the timescale for the construction process. We have limited ?spare? space on the Ivydale Road site and therefore our admissions number will remain at 60 for children starting school in September 2016 rather than increasing to the anticipated 120. We are working closely with the local authority and contractors to agree the best way forward, including exploring ways to be able to offer 90 places by way of a phased expansion for 2016-17. While we appreciate this will be disappointing news, particularly for those in the local community, we are sure you will agree that the education, safety and welfare of all our pupils cannot be compromised" Taken from Ivydale newsletter -
Attempted robbery at cashpoint- UPDATE
missmack1981 replied to missmack1981's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Oh mustard that's obviously what I mean! Referring to a previous post, if someone is distracted by this technique, they may believe card has been swallowed. If the bank is shut, it buys the criminal time to use the card before it is reported. -

LAST POST I promise. Culprit with stolen cards on him was also illegally in this country so is being investigated by customs with a view to be deported. Other two released as no evidence on them etc. Hopefully they've fled and won't be back but still continue to be vigilant. They were targeting lone women at cash points on a day/ time the banks were closed. It was outside HSBC and they were coosing their targets from Dulwich cafe opposite. -

Attempted robbery at cashpoint- UPDATE
missmack1981 replied to missmack1981's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
UPDATE: My husband was on the Lane and spotted the men fitting MILs description and one more (3 in total). He stood and watched them for a bit and saw them eyeing up a woman by cashpoint. They spotted husband, alerted one another and went to cafe. He called 999 and within minutes, they arrived and searched men. Husband still there, awaiting outcome now. What an eventful Saturday. He only went to grab us some lunch. I'm starving!
