  1. Would also suggest looking around Croydon, especially South Croydon and Lloyd Park - some very green and leafy areas.Links into London via East Croydon are very fast and very regular. Bit lacking in foodie places but new Boxpark coming to East Croydon in 2016 is set to liven that side of things up. Have lived round this way for some years and really like it - money goes a long way and we have not experienced any 'Croydon' crime issues so far.
  2. Biff in Dulwich Village also very good - good ranges and helpful staff
  3. Also a yes. Bitches will use artificial grass in the same way they like a lawn but it is vey easy to hose down and no nasty brown patches. A breeder i knew had all her litters using artificial grass and she managed to keep it looking imaculate and odour free.
  4. GillyH - know exactly what you mean. Was trying to send what was basically a letter but village PO wanted to charge at parcel rate. After a bit of insistence on my part said I could send at letter rate but it probably would not arrive. Am pleased to say it got there the next day. 'First world problem ' it may be but is a bit stressful having to argue about something that should be clear cut
  5. Going back to question of how first timers can afford ED/London prices in general Are there really that many couples inheriting 300k from grandparents? Assumes 150k for each partner. That is a pretty big estate for grandparents to leave if they have a minimum of 2 kids, 4 grandkids. We may be talking ED/London but the mail online today says only 1 in 5 leave as much as 250k
  6. It seems a shame an organisation that owes it's existence to historic philanthropy cannot use it's current wealth and influence to both protect the heritage of the Village and build something lasting for the future. Maybe something that everyone can enjoy. Whilst the comments above suggest the old garage is not a stunner this maybe is an opportunity to create something special? Would that not be in the spirit of a modern Edward Alleyn?
