  1. Thanks for posting... Are you talking about Sainsbury in Dog Kennel Hill? assume so. Really are some very sick b...... around. And no doubt police to busy to do much and underfunded just like the local parks so down to individuals to post and keep eyes open. Please do update on this sight id poss - not everyone uses Facebook or Twitter.
  2. Heard last night that three dogs have died from poisoning in Brockwell Park and others are ill. Police have been informed. Apparently in meadow area by Lido - been asked to spread the word.
  3. Just a quick heads up - received a mail earlier this week that not only messed my computer up but turned out to be scam so, don't open and just delete. Looked genuine but such is life!
  4. If you go to either Hyde Park or Kensington Gardens one has to pay. Ruskin Park and Brockwell Park also have to pay - in Ruskin it is linked to resident parking so have to pay between noon - 2pm. Anyway, councils are strapped for cash so if one wants to enjoy the park and drive one pays - most people can cycle, walk, take a bus! And do what a good number do now - park on nearby roads which is free. Mothers who have children activities in Francis Peake Building will have to pay or park further away and walk/ carry babies and toddlers. About time people stop taking things for granted. I wonder what happens to community groups? Do they have a different rate? Free or Pay? One assumes that there will be notices in carparks about this. Agree with Asset.

  6. Just about to change and was wondering if anyone favours a particular network - need one which has good coverage throughout UK in particular this area. Only changing as I realise much cheaper options available but is cheaper the best option? No point in going to Giff Gaff as most of my contacts/work not on that network. Will not go near Virgin & Talk Talk. Tks in advance.
  7. Assume you have tried cafe and park office
  8. Travel Agent?
  9. Wimsn I am talking about in Croxted had big pens in her garden snd only half a dozen but was years ago so memory rusty!
  10. Grear local woman in Croxted Road that use to do cattery - your vet should know or perhaps soneone on Forum knows ho I am talking about. Only other thought would be to lock her with all her bits and pieces in a room but that doesn't solve nerve issue or noise. Personally, would put her in cattery - at least quiet and safe.
  11. I recently made the decision to change from my long established relationship with a vet. I contacted Neighbourhood Vets and London Animal Hospital and went with the latter, even though further away. They responded to my on line contact by phone and e mail and I have recently had to use them and whilst it is a different feel from a smaller practice, very satisfied with the vets I have been in contact with. Also, I have taken into consideration they are not only a vet practice but also open 24/7 so for me, better to have everthing under one roof as opposed to going to an emergency service either in Streatham or them and then having all mailed to one's vet when they open but it is a personal choice. Never heard from Neighbourhood Vet at all and free tea and coffee is neither here nor there. Parking isn't that easy either but know people who are happy with them. Ultimately, vets charges are much of a muchness and one has to go with gut feeling and of course, plenty of chats with dog owners.
  12. Thanks all, really appreciate. I naturally assumed that vaccinations obviously are necessary and also assumed, stupidly when I think about it that vetsknow what they are doing and advising..!! Never heard about Lepto but on more investigation worldwide, alot of vets are against 4 & not too happy about 2 either. Will try and find facebook link and post.. Now for feeding.. Years ago use to feed kibble & fish/chicken as we all did. Vet and others are advising against kibble and feed wet or raw...does deoend on vet though..! At this rate, when she is older will just cook her food...!! Still too young
  13. I saw this guy and his dogs back in summer when I was walking my puppy - they must weigh 20 lbs each and no collar or lead. If it is same guy, then these dogs were brown, in good condition and cross breeds I think. Big at any rate. He doesn't seem to care a monkey - did make me think twice about walking at night down quiet roads. no idea where he lives, but will certainly be keeping to main roads in view of this - although, not sure that it would make much difference given the speed cars fly down main roads these days - would give me peace of mind when walking my young pup. Haven't seen him out at parks during the day and I walk at different times in different parks. Police are too busy. Regarding vets fees, normal - just think if one didn't have NHS and all they do for free.. New hip privately is circa ?8,000 as an example. Then there is aftercare, physio, removal os stiches, more apts so really ?10k.! and that is assuming no complications....
  14. Thanks all and Rosetta - she has had a bucketful of antibodes, etc and still quite young. Psrsonally, I am more of a natural remedy person - hate pills, & take as few as possible. Interested in your comment about fles, worms , boosters etc. Will look into it. Who do ylubsee for dogs at Ellie's? Gather she is more of a cat person but practice has good recommendations.
  15. Thanks folks.... Anymore??

  20. You may find that he will always have it due to genes etc - I went off statins for three months and sadly despite a healthy diet, execise had to go back on statins as my cholestrol level flew up.Having said that, going to look at some of these posts and may have another go as I personally don't like pills..! Good luck though and hope yours is temporary.
