Would anyone, seeing the bulk of the sign, bother to look at the details on the side? (Especially with the white/dark blue colour scheme.) If I'd seen it on the street I'm sure that my eyes would have glided over it, exactly as they did when I saw the initial post - "Some guy's had an estate agent board put up outside his house in error." A quick Image Google of "estate agents sponsoring events uk" shows how it can be done

Sorry if it's been mentioned before, but cul-de-sacs off the wrong side of the south circular may become expensive car parks. Residents of Allison Grove and Ryecotes Mead are potentially looking forward to driving 20 yards out of their road, spending a whole day driving outside the ULEZ and then returning home to find that those last few yards have cost them ?12.50.

I can't see the problem... Both the Streetview and satellite view show "give way" markings at the end of Court Lane.

I don't think you've upset anyone, and I don't think anyone is trivialising your experience. But I suspect that a lot of people, like me, try to picture the situation being described in posts like yours. And driving "east along Lordship lane ... from Felbrigg road to Overhill road" is something difficult to get your head around, especially since Felbrigg doesn't come to a junction with Lordship Lane. I guess you mean that you started at Felbrigg and finished at Overhill and went via (say) Hansler and then Lordship Lane.

P.S. I'm not a crossing junkie - I remember this because it was a round on "Pointless" many moons ago...

A Puffin crossing is a Pedestrian User Friendly (F) INtelligent crossing - if you press the button but then cross before the lights change then a detector should spot that there's nobody waiting and won't hold up road traffic unnecessarily. The crossing for pedestrians and cyclists is called a "Toucan" crossing (because two (bikes and pedestrians) can cross).
