Fantastic news! So so pleased for you! -
Yes that sounds true but the Bread/crumpets/cakes that we have tried does contain cows milk protein too. He juse seem to tolerate it at the moment. Is your little one allergic to all dairy products?

Yes, I have similar experience from a few nurseries in the area, I am not convinced of waiting lists I must say. For one particular nursery which I was told was very popular we were offered a place on the opening day. My neghbour was furious when we told her as she had been on their waiting list for 8 months. In the end, we did not go with that nursery and lost our deposit but the place was not given to my neighbour but to someone else who attended the open day, as far as I know she is still waiting... It might matter what days you are looking for as I know some nurseries give you priority if you want Fridays or Mondays (which are sometimes less busy) and also priority might be given to people who are looking for more days. It is frustrating to say the least - I feel your pain.

Reception intake 75% boys at DVI

I always thought it was fascinating that in forum baby group my son was born in, there were lots and lots of boys and just a handful of little girls. I think that the OS theory is a very interesting one, even if it is in a non proven way. Some advocates of "gender swaying" swear by gender vs ovulation theory (shettles method or something). -
Hi, Lack of projectile vomitting does not exclude reflux, in fact silent reflux (silly name - who has ever heard of a silent reflux baby!?) can often be as painful for babies. The gulping and fussyness could well be symptoms, does he grunt in his sleep? I was with the dmc and as always it was a mixed bag. In the end I went to see a consultant at Kings privately and once done, went back to dmc from there. I think the consultant details are on the other reflux thread. Just to echo the others to do what you can to look after yourselves and eachother. Sleeping in shifts (we did 4hrs each in the early days). Rope in any help bought, family or friends and do not worry about forming bad habits. Just do what you can to get through. Which you will. I read through the other reflux thread earlier and shudder at the memory, it was so so hard. Try to hold on to something though: this is not what the rest of your life will be like, this is not an accurate reflection of parenthood. This is not your new normal forever. The love and bond will come, after the exhaustion has subsided somewhat. This too is normal and I just wish someone had told me that. Feel free to PM either of you if you want a "chat" or some ideas on how to get around the dmc /private care circus. Hang in there xx Cross posted with hellosailor who was amazingly supportive to me during our reflux hell!

Thank you so much to each and everyone of you kind souls who have taken a moment out of your lives to advise a stranger. This forum is extraordinary in that way. I have just been discharged after a bilateral arthroscopy of the jaw -ouch. Consultant isn't overly optimistic as the joints have degenerated badly but only time will tell what impact the surgery will have. The upside to all of this is a week off work which I can now spend exploring some of the avenues that you have all so kindly suggested (washing can wait, right?). I am exploring further what other medical conditions that could cause some of this - again thank you for all your suggestions on this. I am also looking into the mindfulness courses, cbt and acupuncture. Cost is a factor at the moment, but I will do what I can. So many of you have been so spot on in your observations of my situation and that alone has really opened my eyes. Thank you also - to all of you who have sent me PM's sharing your own stories so generously. I would never have guessed when walking up and down lordship lane that amongst the immaculately presented and ever smiling faces I see, there are women and mums just like me, teeth grinders, insomniacs and fellow stress heads. Thanks for all your insights, name suggestions and virtual hugs. It means an awful lot!

Had results from MRI scan today and the conclusion was arthritis in the jaw. Does anyone have any experience of this? Again am particularly interested in success of alternative therapies as the "conventional" medical route will be taken care of. Any tips most welcome

Adults picking their nose, then taking a long look at the content they hae picked out - and then put it in their mouth. It is a disgusting thing to do.
