My son and partner went to the game today. Long way to travel. I'm gutted for them.

Doesn?t everyone deserve their time to shine? We are all a bunch of cynics by nature but I was compelled to watch the you tube clip after all the hype and I thought ?good on you ? She sang the song really well and stuck two fingers up to shallow and vacuous people who are fixated with image. I hope she fulfils her dreams and never rues the day that she auditioned for the show. Susan Boyle is not a wannabee starlet, she a woman with a voice and a passion to sing. Good on her.

Dealing drugs brings misery to people, those who deal and those who buy. It wasn't that long ago that a petty drug dealer was murdered on an East Dulwich Street. It's really difficult to know what to do when you witness drug dealing and easy to turn a blind eye. Is there a consensus as to what should be done.

new video footage shows police assaulting Tomlinson from behind
Eliza.D replied to louisiana's topic in The Lounge
The footage I saw sickens me. An innocent man died. He may have had a pre disposed illness that may have brought on a heart attack but as the footage shows he was not acting in a way that would have in any circumstance made him a threat. The fact that the police then, and after his death said that they were prevented from getting help for him has been proven as a lie. The actual police officer?s have not come forward to say they were there and witnessed what happened. They got caught on camera and that is the only reason that this has come to light (no CCTV oddly) would they have all huddled together? had this footage not come to light and stuck to a convenient and police pro story. The police have a hard job at such demos but they acted as thugs and it seems to me that this particular officer acted in a particular and totally inappropriate manner. He wore a balaclava and thinks he is immune. His colleagues as far as the last report have not come forward to report his behaviour at the time or since. I do have respect for the police and the hard job that they do but from what I saw in two different sets of footage the Met have a long way to go in getting the trust of The Public. The Family have a right to the answers. 47 is no age to die and in such a way it must be hard for the the family. -
I live in an old house in ED and thankfully don't have a problem with moths(so far) what i do have however is lots of spiders and spiders webs. Not really being one for using the feather duster and geting rid of them on a regular basis i wondered if this might be the answer to the moth problem. Get some spiders and let them catch the moths.

When you are driving down Lordship Lane (or any other road for that matter), you start to indicate, slow down near a parking spot. Line up parallel to it. You can't drive in forward so you move slightly forward of it so that you can reverse into it and the car behind go so far up your arse that you can't reverse. They then start beeping and pulling their faces.

Francis Rossi. Sorry but he didn't go to Tulse Hill Boys. Don't think he went to Dulwich Hamlet/ Village schools.

I went to Rosendale school 67-72 and then went to Kingsdale 72-80. My other half went to Tulse Hill Boys and played in the same school team as Les Briley, around the time that Mohammed Ali went to the school to hand out the sports prizes.

When I first saw this thread I thought it was about people with anorexia nervosa.

I have never sang Karaoke, not even when I have been really drunk, which is when most people get up and have a go. I have also never sworn at my dad, infront of him all the time but never at him.

Absolutely has to be the enormous butterflied langoustine I ate in a restaurant in Havana. It was grilled with just a hint of seasoning. It is without a shadow of doubt the best thing I've put in my mouth.

Nice one lizzie. Well spotted. Might have to get myself down there on Saturday. Can someone let lindylou know.

Have to agree. Pubs like the George Canning, Thomas A Beckett, Half Moon, and Dublin Castle (bit out of our area) were the stomping ground for a lot of talent and those who enjoyed live music.

I have been meaning to go there for a while now. I have a big chunky silver mans ring my Grandad gave me. It is from the USA army and has a seal on the top. The seal is covered in wax or whatever they used to seal documents. It is quite ornate with eagles on it .I have always wondered what it might be. Having some expert on your door step seems quite good to me. Afterall love it or loath it we do have a militarty history.

With you there Tony.L S I was kind of hoping to find out if she found him and have a little potter down memory lane. Did you also see the Piranha's?

I used to go to the Half Moon alot in the late 70's early 80's and remember him but after 1984 never really went to the Half Moon. I saw Tom Robinson there, George Melly and a great blues band '9 Below Zero' I think he played with them from time to time (I may be wrong). Good luck with you search.

Thanks for that dulwichmum. just the thought of all that congested gunk being eliminated sounds quite good though. Don't worry and not a slippery slope sort of girl/women

Thanks for that Burbage. Don't worry wouldn't give an account.

I just wondered if anyone has had or thought about having colonic irrigation. I understand that it can have benefits and i have considered it but to tell he truth it also sounds scary and very unpleasant. When i have discussed it with people the majority have said that they too have thought about it and would like to have it done but the idea of litres of water being spurted up your...., (well you know what i mean)is not very nice. If i thought it had benefits then i might overcome my reservations. Anyone feel the same or have had it done. Does it have real benefits? Am i alone in my curiosity.

I know it is very annoying and very loud but it always reminds me of hoidays in Greece. I know the weather isn't hot and i do have to wake up with an alarm clock but it does trigger a reminder of good times. That said it's not Greece and i'm not on holiday and the alarm will go off at 6.30. -
