One Born Every Minute Christmas special

Managed to watch one born every minute last night on 4od, loved it, was between cringing at the young (both slightly autistic couple?) to turning the volume off on the screaming woman as it was just too much for someone 29 weeks gone... Brilliant though, I'm very glad it's back on... Gives me a valid crying excuse! I made the same comment about them all seemingly birthing on their backs to DH Keef... I think Ratty might be right about it being a Southampton thing. Best moment from the Christmas series was the woman who had just given birth to a 10 1/2 lb baby saying "Christ, have I just given birth to a three year old"!? -
No way they can move it only when the baby arrives, they just aren't getting it are they! You have a small child & are pregnant, they can move it now... Put it in the front garden, that might prompt them... Well done on mr b though.

Oh this is so horrible, I really feel for you. We recently moved out of a flat with a shared hallway where our neighbour said it was ok for my bike to be stored in the hallway which was really nice as it was very narrow (I did use it every day). After a while she got pregnant and asked if I could take it upstairs when the baby arrived, I actually moved it during her pregnancy to make it easier for her to get in and out despite living on the 2nd floor and having the most awkward hallway ever, it was a nightmare for me as it was so awkward & I used the bike every day however I didn't hesitate for a second that it was the right thing to do.... Sorry thats totally unhelpful but your neighbours are clearly being unreasonable, if I were you I'd send my husband down to speak to them and ask them one final time to move it and if they refuse then mention to them the conditions of the lease & let them know you will be persuing this further, then take some legal action re the agreement in the lease, or at the very least call southwark, as awful as it is living with crap neighbours the situation will only get worse for you with the new arrival and you need to know you can get in and out of the house easily & safely. If your neighbours are that selfish it's not like you are ever going to be best friends anyway!

Me too, flu like cough with fever, nausia and general feeling of despair! I'm 6 months pregnant & went to the docs twice as I was convinced I was more ill but both docs told me to take paracetemol, just started this & am actually feeling better today. Doesn't help that we are living in one room due to builder take over & have had no bathroom on & off for a couple of weeks & haven't had a kitchen for 8 weeks!!! So so so ill though, I feel your pain snowboarder, I left the house today for almost the first time in 2 weeks. On top of all of that I've managed to sprain/pull an intercostal muscle so am in agony over that too! Urgh stuff the snow & Christmas! Hope everyone takes it easy & rests up well... Keep going on the lemon & honey & paracetemol Happy Christmas!

That was me! Sadly I've just had to sell the Rothmann as I'm now pregnant and needed something a bit more upright and due to funds & space couldn't afford to keep that and the new Mixte custom build that BC Bikes are currently working on for me... not SS this time as I'll have three gears.... so I can't join the club! I'm so silly I hadn't even seen we were on the seccond page and so many people had said about coming along on the 4th! Now I'm even more gutted I can't make it. Snowboarder, not exclusively for first timers, I just wanted to organise something that was more friendly for us, ie over a weekend when most of us are not at work but everyone is welcome to come..... with little ones too if that works for you shall we put a date in the diary for Jan then and if people can make that it's great and like you say Alie our bumps will be more imminent! How does 15th or 22nd sound to everyone? anywhere suits me, I did want to check out the new electrical cafe so that sounds good but am equally happy elsewhere... I'm just behind Goose green so pretty flexible...

Really sorry all but due to the builders ripping out our bathroom that week we are going to escape to the warmth and clenliness of the inlaws next weekend... sorry to mess things up.... I was looking forward to meeting all of you... I'll keep a look out for another meeting... or I'm free the following weekend 11th or 12th?? sorry again... Ali

Hello everyone, I was just trying to find an NCT evening class (as both myself and mr f work full time) or even a weekend one. I'm due at the end of March and I was looking on the NCT website. It seems the ones in East Dulwich are all during the day time. There are classes in Hearne Hill and also Nunhead during the evenings / weekends, I was just wondering which location other people from ED had signed up for / what they thought they might go for? Or am I missing something?? Ideally I'd like to meet some local mummies so when I'm on mat leave I have some local friends to hang out with and help each other out..... it's my first so I think I'll need a bit of time to adjust to not working and also the having the baby all the time bit!! Thanks

Dementia/Alzheimer's signs... could it be something else?
mrs f replied to benjaminty's topic in The Family Room Discussion
My grandma had a 'funny turn' as she likes to describe it, it was about 8 years or so ago and she was in her own garden and forgot who she was, forgot all about her family (and she has 5 children and 15 grandchildren so a fairly big family to forget!), had no idea where she was, didn't recognise my grandpa etc. I think it was for about 1/2 hour, but I'm not sure exactly of the details. She was checked over by her doctors but she is absoulutly fine, a very strong and healthy 82 year old, no sign of any problems with her brain, still very bright and has no further episodes. This is obviously not a medical diagnosis of your mum, but just to say that it might be nothing.... it is obviously worth taking her to get checked out but perhaps sometimes these things do happen? I hope it all goes well x
