  1. Ah our boys are only a few days apart Sue, baby f was born on the 10th! Ok, so shall we say a picnic on Tuesday if the weather is good and if not then we need to meet somewhere with lots of buggy space as it looks like we have lots of new arrivals! I'm not sure if the electrical cafe is big or nice but could meet there? or green & blues?
  2. love them! I definately see them working as a dress too.. makes me wish we had a girl! Can't wait for your stall... remind me again when it is!? Now the little one is finally here we need to get him stocked up on knitted goods seeing as my mum is point blank refusing to knit and my 85 year old grandma isn't up to knitting apart from socks nower days.... I need a supply!
  3. Yes next week would suit us better too, tues works for me... Actually i have no plans next week & mr f is back at work-eeek! Would be nice if the weather picks up a bit so we can have a picnic.
  4. Hiya, I can do thurs with baby f.... Fri I'm busy There is an area in peckham rye park which is enclosed & has a couple of picnic tables & lots of trees, I think it might be dog free & is always full of littlies, directly behind the ornamental bit...

Hope you all manage to get out over the weekend, even if it's just in the garden
  6. I feel a picnic coming on! Lovely lovely news we have a new mini bear & yaklet, looking forward to meeting them both soon. Alexa when are/were you due?
  7. I totally feel for you, our extension over ran by about 3 months despite me being increasingly pregnant. In the end they finished when I was about 38 weeks (good thing I went to 42 weeks) and in the end I couldn't even look at the builder let alone speak to him! I think it was the lack of consideration or even aknowledgement that I was so close to popping that really got to me... Well done on venting to them, I hope the next few weeks are a bit more smooth for you & once the little one arrives you will forget it ever happened!
  8. Hiya is anyone meeting tomorrow or later this week? I may try & venture out, afternoons seem better as I try & catch up on lost sleep by lying in...
  9. Oh girls I just missed you, we were walking baby f round the block & stopped in Warwick gardens but had to get back for food, I didn't realise you were on your way or I would have stayed to pass him round for some endorphins boost! X
  10. Thanks ladies, I feel so lucky to have had him at home & truly thought we wouldn't make it which makes it all the more special don't worry bb, she will come in her own good time, just relax and don't reply to all the messages from well meaning friends & family asking if she has arrived yet! Oh & perhaps try the mushy peas at sea cow !-) Thanks again snowboarder for all the pillows etc! They were really handy! Hope to get out & about at some point over the next few weeks & hopefully we will have a mini yaklett & mini bear as well by then :-) Good luck ladies x
  11. Oh & it's a boy and a whopping 8lb 10oz!
  12. Hello spring baby ladies, just to let you know baby f arrived yesterday, 13 days late after 3 sweeps, 2 acupuncture sessions, gallons of rasperry leaf tea, too many curries & pineapples to count, lots of long walks, driving over speed bumps, twice daily clary sage oil tummy massage etc. I gave up on it all on sat & accepted we were going to have to be induced on mon so went out for fish & chips & mushy peas & low & behold along he came yesterday in a lovely home birth! Yey! Hope to catch up in a few weeks, with hopefully some of our other new arrivals x
  13. ?400 for bespoke shoes is a bargain, I know other bespoke shoe makers that charge a min of ?1000... And that is pretty normal I believe, mr Ben is right, you can also easily pay ?2000 for ones like the royals wear... Although I hate to be technical & say the last maker would have only made the last then probably upto 5 other skilled people would have made the shoes... One measuring, one cutting the pattern, one cutting out the pieces, one sewing the pieces together & one lasting the shoe & attaching the sole. Of course one person can do all of this but they are actually very specialised roles & in top bespoke shoe makers they will be different people. Yawn, sorry to go on...!
  14. ok sounds good, yes I was going to walk to one of the parks anyway for my daily overdue waddle to try and bounce the baby out.... See you all then in the cafe, fingers crossed the weather is nice still, it would be lovely to meet your (big) little one bellenden bear!
  15. Does 3pm work for others? Can do another time if this doesn't... Don't want to get in the way of nap time Was going to suggest one of the park cafe's, either Dulwich or Peckham rye if the weather is nice but I'm equally happy somewhere on ll... ? Where / what time works for all?
  16. Hi bellenden bear, yes can do.... I'm in need of constant distraction at the min! I'm seeing the midwife at 11am tomorrow so can do lunch or afternoon coffee or another day (I have no plans this week, funnily enough!) especially if someone brings their new baby & let's me have a cuddle (get's the endorphins going apparently!)
  17. I went for the first time on Friday afternoon and was very disappointed. The floors in the female changing rooms were FILTHY, I was walking on tippie toes to not stand in all the crud on them, this is horrible and needs addressing urgently I'd say. I usually swim in another pool and have to say I found the water too warm. I also found the amount of hairs and debris in the water horrible.... I also have a bit of a problem with people who can't understand the swim clockwise rule although that isn't the fault of the pool but perhaps the lifeguard could have explained this to this guy so he didn't hit me every time we passed.... hmmm over all I was really disappointed sadly and don't think I'll be back, especially not for ?4 a time.
  18. I'm 6 days over now :-( I was planning on accupuncture on say tues, after a sweep tomorrow... I'll do the stairs sideways today & see if I can face sex (it's just such a manoeuvre!) Come on baby!!
  19. Urgh... Still no baby, any tips on encouraging it out? I'm drinking raspberry leaf tea, eating pineapple & curry (not together!), swimming, going on long walks, bouncing on the ball, bathing in clary sage oil.... Anything else I can possibly do? I really really don't want to be induced Thank you wise forum ;-)
  20. I'm a fan of the big v as it's a bean bag type & you can mould it any way you want to get comfortable. People reccomend it for breastfeeding too.
  21. Ah I've just remembered I'm seeing the midwife at 10 so I'll come along after if you are still there, I'll give you a call / text Yak....
  22. No actual experience as I'm still waiting for my baby to arrive, but go to the real nappies for London website to see the cost comparison between Eco disposables & cloth, & if you get a chance go along to one of Molly (aka the nappy lady)'s sessions on cloth to gauge an idea of how easy cloth can be... & the benefits of using them which includes being less prone to leaks (when using a 2 part system) than disposables I've just brought a set of cloth nappies on the forum for about ?40 and then brought some other bits from the nappy lady website like liners & wipes for about ?60 & have our baby kitted out from birth to 10 months, we will then need the next size up of nappy which will prob be about ?150 new max & we can use this for other babies if we have any more! Also, not sure Eco nappies are really Eco, but they will contain less chemicals so better for your baby but not really any environmental benefits. You can do trials of cloth via the nappy lady website too if you still weren't convinced Good luck with the new arrival!
  23. Please do Simone, the more the merrier! Shall we say coffee, Monday, 11am ish.... But where for the best cake selection...?
  24. Good point Beagle, the lanes will come to your house, whether you have a home or hospital birth & they will assess you & only send you into hospital when you are ready (4cm?) so there is no chance of you getting sent home & having to come back. Sorry you didn't have a great experience Sally, I've ended up with my midwife changing over the course of my pregnancy however I still feel very lucky to be with them, & friends I've spoken to from outside the area are stunned at the service I have available as they have nothing of the sorts, especially not on the nhs. I think they are very busy though as we all keep breeding in this area !-)
  25. That is so funny, I brought some cringeworthy bras from the 'hot milk' range yesterday (what a name!) Sorry no idea about the stall, haven't been there in ages but it sounds great, my baby totally needs something Personalised...
