The new pop up is located at 1a Zenoria Street, which is next door to the ED Warehouse and to the rear of Cafe Nero! Please come along and say hi! tell me what you think and so on! The new store will be a little different to our Melbourne Grove Location and the initial feedback(people have sneaked in for a peek!) has been amazing. You have helped the store become a great success and we will continue to do what we do there(we will not be closing). 8. Hi Guys, Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself, my name is Nick and I have taken over number 16 Melbourne Grove, formaly Petals. I undertand how important the local area is for you guys which is understandable. I am from East Dulwich and i thought communicating through the forum would be great way to get any suggestions or pointers from everyone. I know Melbourne Grove is a bit of a backstreet but i feel that with the right promotion businesses CAN work. The units which have been empty have all been taken so things can only look up. I am pretty nervous writing on here as i know some of you can be a little harsh but I thought this would be a good way to kick off. For those of you who feel there is a clothes shop saturation in E.Dulwich I am sorry but the unit will remain as a ladies clothes shop. I understand the previous closed but my shop will be different and different from all of the other shops in the area. It will be individual, edgy and reasonable,it will cater for all ages but have more of a "East London Vibe" (I hope that doesent sound stupid!). I will be telling you more info over the next few days but feel free to ask questions or make comments. Nick
  9. Ive thought long and hard about the bouncer thing, I agree, In an ideal world it would be better without bouncers. Having some big lump at the door gives a certain image, inside 72 never had bouncers and they never seemed to have trouble,ok people had there faults with it but it wasnt troublesome in that way. Ladies toilets, I have already thought to make it a bit more lux than the current Dulwich trend. The state of some toilets are a joke but the people using the places have to take some responsibility. Comfy seating, and space management, I understand and will bear it in mind, however the bar will be very small as most of you know what is available in Dulwich and the larger the site the more ridiculous the rent.I want it to be intimate and eclectic where people feel relaxed.
  10. Thanks very much benjaminity, i will bear that in mind especialy the adventure bar ref!.
  11. James, u getting the idea im leaning that way, this place will defo not be generic!
  12. Just to inform you about the venue, I am not saying sorry as I do not want to get in trouble for putting this post up. As for the Woolwich site, I did actually go for that unit bat I was turned down as a large company was interested and ATISREAL(the agent)accepted them over everyone else. I believe it was to be a betting office.
  13. The point of the marying between the day and evening trade is important and something which I am giving alot of thought. I think the only way is for the day vibe to drastically chang into the evening, ie, music. Unfortunately the venue will not open for next weekend, sorry sean. The purchasing process is full of red tape as I am sure you know.
  14. There will not be a jukebox, sorry, not enough room and will not fit in with the decor(not meaning a snobby, common interior will be installed),again sorry. Music will be very mixed and interesting. As for the cocktails,as we know Adventure is opening and I cant compete with thier list, however ane of my friends is one of the best cocktail barman in Mayfair and we are working on a small varied menu focused on the quality and not quantity(do not fear, the word mayfair as the prices will not reflect that!).
  15. Lozzyloz, many of those boxes are ticked and I have to say I will make service my number one priority.
