HiGinster, we used http://www.officialtaxitenerife.com last February when my daughter was 8 months old. I found the company via the Tenerife Sur airport website and they had a counter in the arrivals area. Would use them again - really easy to locate their counter, English-speaking, car seat already fitted, responded promptly to email queries and turned up on time (with car seat) for return journey. The only thing was that the car seat was forward-facing so depends on how comfortable you are with that for your youngest. If our journey had been longer, I might have looked into whether or not it could be fixed in a rear-facing position (but our flight arrived late and I was obsessed with making sure she didn't fall asleep in the car and mess up bedtime routine - I know, need to sort out priorities!). Love that maitre d' was first to know of your pregnancy njc - i hope he/she was suitably congratulatory!! I have found the same as others on this thread (i.e. High end restaurants are more than happy to substitute even on set tasting menus). I've been to a few of 'that type' of restaurant whilst pregnant and they've all given me alternatives. However, completely agree with mooncake as I am always super-jealous of chicken liver parfait, rare steak etc, not to mention the matched wine! Still, something to look forward to after the baby is born (and childcare is in place!).

I have had the same experience as Jemmarc. Was led to believe we would be very likely to have a place for April 2015 when I handed over my ?40 in July 2014 (when my daughter was 6 weeks old) but recently received email about not being able to see any availability until September 2016. My experience of the admin has been poor (could not get response to email/voicemail/enquiry forms between beginning of November and end of January) although there have been a few comms recently so perhaps it is improving (sadly, availability is not it seems!).

Thanks all. Douglas 2014 - couldn't agree more and was planning to post the same today. It sounds as though you are experiencing the same frustration as me. Starting in November, I have sent emails, left voicemails, phone messages with nursery staff and even completed online form and no response at all. We will be looking elsewhere too. A shame I only discovered this inability to communicate after I had paid the ?40 fee to go on the waiting list.

We are looking for a nursery for our daughter for next year when she'll be 1. I looked around Piplings (Peckham Rye) and was really impressed but have heard some negative things (albeit about the Forest Hill branch I think). Does anyone have any feedback, positive or negative? Or any nursery recommendations? We live near the southern point of Peckham Rye park (near the Herne Tavern) and are looking for somewhere close. Thanks.
