  1. Leftover easter eggs, half price at Sainsburys DKH. Only a few left when I looked
  2. Southwark Council have decided to turn Lordship Lane ? from Goose Green roundabout, south to Melbourne Grove into a "summer walking street". From April 1 st until September 30 th, access to motor vehicles will only be allowed for deliveries from 6 am to 10 am. Exceptions for buses, emergency vehicles, and Blue Badge holders (for access only). Caf? owners and other suitable businesses are encouraged to place tables outside, create planters and similar street furniture to provide a pleasant atmosphere in the Lane, conducive to strolling and socializing. ANPR cameras will be enabled to prevent unauthorized vehicles entering the zone.
  3. A delivery to Sainsburys shed its load turning in from DKH, early this morning. DKH was inundated with thousands of loo rolls. A local resident, defying the lockdown, passed me with her arms full. "When need is greatest, Heaven provides" she muttered.
  4. Has anyone tried the new jellied eels place on Lordship Lane ? Mash like my nana used to make, liquor to die for. And the juiciest anguilles you can imagine !! Five stars in my book
  5. Have to get to Heathrow at 6pm today. What is the best way, and when should I leave ED ?
  6. try and pick them off early in the season, sometimes you see 2 mating, easy to get them then ! I also find them on my chives, seem to like them too.

    Oregano

I dry lots of oregano. Usually in August-September. Cut branches and hang up in a cool, dry place (my garden shed) and after 2-3 weeks its properly dry, then I pull off the leaves and put them into glass jars. Keeps a good deal of the aroma, and, I think, most of the taste. There are several kinds of oregano, I have recently been using the yellow-leaved variety, which is very decorative and dries well.
