I live in the area that was cordoned off for most of the morning. I took some cups of tea out to the police who were redirecting people and managing the road closure etc. They said they were surprised to be attending this kind of incident in LL. But a person died. Parents no longer have a son, people have lost a friend. What does it matter what postcode it happened in?

Sure is! Next meeting is next Thursday at the Cherry Tree - the book is Autumn by Ali Smith. You'd be more than welcome - send me a message if you'd like any more details :) JDolman Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hi guys, is this still a regular thing? I must have just gone round after you - they said the same to us, that they'd be stopped in like 20 minutes (so I guess 10pm). They don't even open until 10am so don't understand why it all needs to be done so late at night. Didn't look like they were finished last night either, so assume there'll be more to come. I live next door and have been trying to work out where the noise was coming from but it all makes sense now! And it's definitely the shop? Might pop round myself as well then. -

Just wanted to give this a wee bump to say that we're meeting next 7.30pm Thursday 20 September, 7.30pm most likely at Terriors - and the book we're discussing is His Bloody Project by Graeme Macrae Burnet. Please come along if you fancy :) -

Im happy to have a go at setting one up - it looks like there's enough people interested? Maybe if everyone who'd like to come could DM me your email and we can try and find a date and a book? -

We are still waiting for it to be fixed...seven weeks and counting. Have put in a formal complaint - were told they'd respond in three working days, which they did, to say they'd respond in two weeks, which was just over a week ago. Hey, who needs the internet anyway.... -

Our fix date has been pushed back again to the 23rd now, like you Jagrass. I am calling later to make a formal complaint, and see what we can get out of them, then we'll probably cancel. MissWiggy - do you know how long it will take to get Sky set up? And do you have any details on the 1 month BT contract? -

Our latest fix date is this Wednesday I believe, but yes, it does seem like they pluck them out of thin air. And if it's a problem in the area, as we've been told, surely it would all be fixed at the same time. If we'd switched when the problems started we could have been up and running with someone new by now...!
