  1. Ah - I did wonder....really hope things improve tonight....earplugs for you maybe? Molly
  2. Pickle - why does trouble always come in 3's (or 4's or 5's). I hate it when it feels like all the household applicances are out to get you. My dishwasher door only stays closed if I put the bin against it while it runs a cycle, otherwise it 'pings' open half way through. It is 10 years old and I guess more than ready to be replaced, but I just don't have the time to go out and find the right one to buy....sigh. Really hope things improve for you very soon and that DD feels better soon and DS stops the night weeing thing (no suggestions for that one I'm afraid...except...would he sit on a potty if left by his bed? Would he go on his own if he had a torch to take? All a bit random, but you never know. Well done Sanity Girl on the potty training - result! Molly
  3. Thanks so much, fingers crossed that Blackfriars will be a much better station when it is all finally finished. Molly
  4. All good at our place tho baby C is cutting FOUR teeth at once - 2 up 2 down poor girl, hoping the worst is over thank heaven for Calpol. Big sister just went into meltdown and refused to get dressed for baby pick up so got taken in a dress and coat without shoes or tights....she wont do that again. I am an evil Mummy. We are friends again now though. Molly
  5. Hi there, Does anyone know what the current situation is? Are the trains stopping on the South side of Blackfriars Bridge and/or going straight through to City Thameslink? Thanks, Molly
  6. Hello everyone, just wanted to say how lovely it is to 'see you' all again! Molly :))
  7. Just to add, I think they go through phases of 'testing the boundaries' so as well as maybe not being so tired he is quite possibly going through a phase of seeing what he can get away with. I think at around 2 this is quite common and do recall that we had to stick to our guns with our daughter when she went into a 'big girls bed' at 2.5 as she went through a phase of getting out of bed and coming down/calling for us/sitting on the landing crying....basically trying various tactics to see if she could get away with not going to bed. We just kept to the same strategy - always took her back to bed, reassured her and walked away, and in the end it did work. Good luck with it, look forward to an update in a couple of weeks! Molly
  8. I just can't believe how vilifield we (parents) are as a group by some of the people in the main room. I just don't understand the need to be so unpleasant about other human beings. By all means have an opinion, voice it even, but some of the posts are just plain nasty and/or agressive. Some of the comments about breast feeding etc. make me wonder if we are supposed to sit at home and hide ourselves away for the first few years. It is hard to believe some of these people were ever children themselves. I think maybe I need to go back to not looking at the posts in the main area..... Molly
  9. Just off to bed now....so yes, gone!!! But hope to see you at some point over the next 2 weeks, and fingers firmly crossed that you start to get a bit more sleep between now and the forum being back up. Molly xxx
  10. Years ago I was the victim of an attack by a young man - he ran up behind me, pinned my arms down whilst on my back and tried to make me kiss him....I kept walking/stagger forward and managed to throw him off and then shouted and he ran away......this was at about 10am one very sunny October morning as I walked to college.....about 6 months later he was caught after an attempted rape. He had started out behaving much as the person you described Angel Delite, then gone on to braver and braver attacks, and by 21 had tried to rape someone. I think anything we can do to try to identify this young man is a good thing. Even if it is just a childish prank, better to stop it right now. Molly
  11. Thanks Millsa - just what I was looking for, will def. give it a try. Mark - do you read every single post that goes on the forum? If so I am seriously impressed, no wonder you need a holiday. Molly
  12. It wont work overnight Snowboarder...have you phoned Claire Kevdis yet...yes I'm nagging you I know! Molly x
  13. Pickle Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Molly, yes we go Tues mornings... afternoons don't > work for us as the kids sleep till around 2.30pm. > Mr Pickle took them this morning (I had my > citizenship ceremony, so am now officially > British!) and was a bit shell shocked by the > experience, but we love it! > OOOOOHHH CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! XXX
  14. So with you Pickle on the difference 2nd time around - my eldest didn't have sweets or anything for a long, long time, where as Baby C doesn't miss a trick, and pretty much comes 'begging' when she sees us or her sister with stuff, and of course big sister loves to feed her Smarties, Ice Cream etc. Ah well, I figure if I get enough healthy stuff into her as well it all pans out in the end (like eating cake doesn't count if you've walked twice around the park first - ha ha)! Molly
  15. Only for 2 weeks don't panic - check out the text in red across the very top of the screen! Molly
  16. Blimey - I thought we had it bad with up to about 6 per day at the moment due to teething, but 11 is hardcore...even as The Nappy Lady I'd have issues with that!!!! Snowboarder - just thought, tomatoe is one of the things that can make them sore when it comes out the other end, so keep an eye out for that, not always, but it's a bit like fruit juice and stuff I think. Really hope it continues to go well, he sounds like he's taking to it very enthusiastically which is great. Molly
  17. Good thinking re Facebook Fuschia. Pickle - do you do Leapers on a Tuesday morning? I've been going in the afternoons as less hectic, though didn't make it today as Baby C had a hospital appointment to sort out her special shoes (to sort her slightly wonky foot). Very excited as she gets first shoes in a couple of weeks - wooo hooo! Oh and what/when is Little Bubbles? Molly
  18. Must admit we love it too - put lots of pumpkins out and enjoy the carving - and the pumpkin soup and toasted pumpkin seeds made from the leftovers! Think the local children miss it now I tend to be out T or T myself rather than at home to answer the door! Molly
  19. Phew...no idea how I lost a day there, clearly descending into blind panic at the pending closure. So what's it to be guys - Nunhead or West Dulwich forum? I don't mind but would be nice to think I might find most of you in one or the other venue should I feel the need. Molly x
  20. Wow, that is really good going considering he's only just started - well done. It does get easier honest - you get in to the swing of it and find lots of 'easy' bits and bobs to lay on for them. Really hope it pays off, but don't despair if it doesn't happen right away...it will in time....oh and check out how fast the nappies change!! Molly x
  21. How did the porridge go today Snowboarder? Molly
  22. I suggest we all go to the Nunhead Forum if we are desperate to communicate.... http://nunheadforum.co.uk/ Molly
  23. Aha, yes of course...the (demon) supermarkets will have them - thank you - I avoid them whenever possible these days, but may have to brave a trip. Just to add that we only go knocking at doors of people we know, who are OK with it :))
  24. OMG, just under 7 hours left until the forum closes....I'm starting to shake and feel sweaty..... Molly
  25. Any suggestions for good places to shop for decent, but affordable dressing up stuff without trusty Woolworths to turn to? :'( Molly
