  1. Is that the one in Ladywell? A shame.
  2. Balderdash and Pictionary.
  3. I believe the technical term for toast in this state is 'wangy'.
  4. Keep a big jug of water to hand and when the fight starts just lean out of the window and chuck it over them. It won't hurt them but it is EXTREMELY satisfying.
  5. 'Systemic'. 'Step change'. MAKE IT STOP.
  6. Hi James, I'm sad to hear about this money-saving proposal in Lewisham: Five libraries under threat in Lewisham Any similar plans in Southwark?
  7. How about an 'old-fashioned' blockbuster like Peyton Place or The Thorn Birds? And I second that Penny Vincenzi emotion - perfect summer reads (and you can tone up your arms at the same time).
  8. The Independent 5th May 2010 Page 8 "But there will still be plenty of interesting things happening in individual constituencies. For example: Tessa Jowell, Liam Byrne and Ben Bradshaw are arguably a little bit vulnerable in, respectively, Dulwich and West Norwood; Birmingham Hodge Hill; and Exeter."
  9. JT: "I'm only eating this because it's my job" when faced with duck hearts on toast
  10. Anyone fancy a Masterchef t-shirt?
  11. You can choose more than four policy areas - four is just the minimum.
  12. Looks like I'll be voting for the Labervateens...

Sorry if my description was unclear, James, but the crossing is on Lordship Lane. It's the one at the bottom of the hill. Is that still Village?
  15. Hi James, Do you know if/when the potholes at the pedestrian crossing on Lordship Lane at the junction with Townley Road are due to be repaired? There's a biggish hole in the middle of each carriageway. Thanks.

  17. You can buy them online from Large Print Bookshop but I'm not sure sure how quickly they deliver. Expensive, too.
  18. Thanks James for the library-related reply. It's good to know that there is still plenty of local decision-making taking place.
  19. Hi James, Can you comment on the book stock supply and selection arrangements for Southwark Libraries? Are books selected for us by suppliers as mentioned here: A major scandal in the public library service ...or are decisions made by Southwark Library staff? Thanks.

  21. Anything with adhesive qualities would 'stick like sh1t to a blanket'.
  22. Northbound LL buses look OK now, have seen two 40s and a 176 in the last 10 mins. Both going all the way.

James, I'd be more inclined to use it if the evening opening was extended to 8pm. It's handy for the station so might attract more commuters on their way home.
  24. Thanks. I seem to remember a leak in the same place a few months ago. The resulting ice slick was pretty much the full width of the pavement earlier so if you are walking on the Heber side of LL just by the pedestrian crossing take care.
