Chopping it down encourages growth and increases the problem. You need to have it professionally treated, get the experts in ASAP as there are limited times of the year it can be treated. Once treated there is a long gap between treatment and all clear, think the treatment needs repeating. The property information form specifically mentions this, a dishonest answer is am offence. If you can delay moving until it's sorted you should - most (if not all) lenders will not lend on a house with JKW Good luck

I earn less now than I did 6 years ago - two children and upon returning still earning less than in 2009!

Our chickens have a run which is in excess of 100m2, they don't search for their food, we feed them. Yes, they get to wander around, play in the sandpit, sunbathe, shelter, eat grass / worms etc . The Egg yolks are very different from eggs purchased from the supermarket and taste lovely! Rubbish that free range is inferior! We don't allow us to be fully 'free range' due to the risk of predators.

We bought a dualit one, was @ ?100 I think and is great. We have only used it as a spare - we had an elderly Aga that could be temperamental, but it worked really well.

I do care. We keep our own hens - all rescued and ex battery We only buy meat locally direct from the farms, none is intensively farmed. Milk is also sourced locally, again from non intensive farmed dairy cows. Cost compares to Tesco prices but we no longer live in London.

How to commute to Baker Street
Tallulahdoesthehula replied to Tinky Winky's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Quickest route was always LB and jubilee line, I used to get the 176 or 185 to Elephant and baker loo all the way as more pleasant. Would take just over an hour. -
Camber Sands - things to do (for hyper children)
Tallulahdoesthehula replied to Belle's topic in The Family Room Discussion
The Rare Breeds Centre is good, they usually do an Easter egg hunt of some description. Lovely tea room at Lathe Barn, plus a small farm to look around. The lighthouse at Dungeness is fab (as is fish and chips at the Pilot), Battle is worth a visit, beautiful Abbey there, Dover Castle is a great day out too. There are lots of lovely pubs etc for eating out. It's a great part of the country. -
Has anyone vaccinated against Men B?
Tallulahdoesthehula replied to Tallulahdoesthehula's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Ooh yes please LalKJ I have a 3 and 5 year old and another due in the summer so keen to research further and more than likely get all 3 vaccinated. Thank you -
We have three large dogs, one we have had pre kids the other two post kids, one from a pup the other a rehome. Rescue places will place with children, it just takes longer for the right dog up come up, generally one which has loved with children before. Definite research the breeds you are thinking of, different breeds are very different and may or may not work for you. It's lovely for children to grow up with a pet dog(s) my son (3) and my "puppy' (2) are incredibly close!

Has anyone vaccinated against Men B?
Tallulahdoesthehula replied to Tallulahdoesthehula's topic in The Family Room Discussion
From what I've read, when it is introduced it will be babies only - seems to be based upon there being a peak of cases at @ 6mths old. I think there is still merit on getting older children vaccinated, I get the impression the only reason it's being introduced for babies only is cost. Does anyone know when the vaccine was introduced? The internet implies you can have it done via your NHS GP but pay for the vaccine. Allegedly the cheapest option. -
We have been a couple of times, the kids love it. We ensured we went during term time and did the one night two day stay. We stayed in Botley, near Southampton in the mcdonalds Botley Park hotel. Has indoor pool etc which again was great for the kids. They were very good with the kids and did a PP check in and menu. We meanwhile enjoyed the restaurant there. I chose that hotel as I went to Uni in Southampton so knew it was good. I stayed there Few times before on corporate training days etc.

Ski resorts with guaranteed snow in April
Tallulahdoesthehula replied to Minitoots's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Tignes and Val Thoren both fine well into May. -
We are having our house decorated at the moment. We have a professional painter and decorator in who hates F@B paint, says it's hard to work with and doesn't give the best finish. He recommended Leyland paint which is apparently one of the main preferred paints for those in the trade. It can be mixed to any F&B colour since F&B do not own their paint colours, just the names (unlike Dulux). We are about 1/3 of the way through and it's looking really good.

Phil and Teds owners - can you help?
Tallulahdoesthehula replied to SJK's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I had a vibe and never really liked it, didn't compare at all well to my chameleon which I loved, but needs must! I would go with a mountain buggy if I were to need a double again! A friend had the promenade(?) and was very pleased with it. -
I did a weekend in a spa hotel which was lovely, not so refined but a chuckle was the "it's a Knockout" we did one day. The organisers were tacky but the a a activities great fun!

We are off skiing next week, booked a year ago thinking it was half term but it's actually a week early. My daughter is in year R. We completed an absence form, I then spoke with her teacher. The teacher was very supportive. Said they wouldn't be doing anything new next week and workwise for us to just practice phonemes, letters and reading. Her view was it's a fantastic experience which she will benefit from. She said if we wanted to do more to get her to write a diary of her time away. Said that permission. Wouldn't be granted as the heads have no discretion now, permission only granted for deaths! It will be an unauthorised absence but as her attendance until now is 100% no real issue. We got the official rejection letter tonight which tells us if we go anyway we may be fined ?60 per child per parent - ?120 total in our case as my son is in nursery. If we are fined we are fined...... Annoyingly she has just turned 5 - if she were 5 a month later we couldn't have been fined!

We were planning to get one and have been advised more trouble than they are worth in maintenance and costly in salt! Also, you are not supposed to drink softened water (that sounds ridiculous...... Maybe im remembering that part incorrectly!)

Have any mums got awesome kitchens?
Tallulahdoesthehula replied to sarahew's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We are about to order a 'Neptune' kitchen - anyone have any experience of them, good or bad? Having had numerous companies round they were the ones that came up with the best design and the kitchens seem very well made (and made in the UK). -
birth experiences at kings
Tallulahdoesthehula replied to mong17's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Really positive experience of elective c section at Kings. My son was born lunchtime, I was showering myself the same day and out the next morning. Fantastic! My consultant was Leonie Penner who is fantastic. She wasn't my surgeon but the two (female) surgeons I had were very good and the scar is invisible! -
I'm blocked too! Same message as everyone else.
