I was wondering if anybody knew why the TFL website is telling me that the best way to get to Clapham Common tonight is to get the 185 to Oval and then take the tube? Do the current roadworks in Brixton make the 37 a slower option at the moment? I'm in NCR and I need to get to Clapham Common for 7pm tonight. Thanks folks!

Hi mlteenie I managed to pick up my tickets from the Silvester Road Delivery Office the next day (last Thursday) as it was open as normal. There are strikes in London (all areas except EC) this Wednesday (16th Sept) so I would take a punt that the delivery office will be closed again then, or at least have restricted opening hours. Maybe try popping along tomorrow? Good luck! JW

An annual card often does work out cheaper, even taking into account holidays, and it's got the added bonus of getting you 1/3 off all rail trips (including the Gatwick and Heathrow Express) so my vote goes for poor and free too!

Did you manage to pick up something this morning from the delivery office or are you talking about your normal post? I think that services are working in some capacity, but the Silvester Road delivery office was shut until 10am this morning. I need to pick up some concert tickets for next week so I'm hoping that it's open from 8am as normal tomorrow. If anybody knows whether or not it will be open as normal I'd appreciate a heads up! I went this morning to collect a Special Delivery letter and the delivery office was shut. There was a note on the door saying that due to industrial action it would be closed on 09.09.09 and only open between 10-11am. I couldn't wait around as I had to get to work. I called the number on the back of card they left and they couldn't let me know when the office would be back to normal. Does anybody know whether or not they will be open tomorrow or whether I have to wait until next week? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
