  1. I second the suggestion of Fashion-Conscience.com shop. I got a lovely ED print there. They have a website too - https://www.fashion-conscience.com/ but it looks like that's for clothes only. Good luck!
  2. I need to be in Herne Hill for 10.00 tomorrow and I was planning on driving. Are the roads back to normal or is the South Circular closure still impacting things? I read a few days ago that it took somebody an hour to get over there, if that's the case I'll walk! Thanks.
  3. This sounds ideal!
  4. Ooo yes Court Lane is lovely and wide.
  5. Thanks both! I?ll check these out.
  6. Can people without puppies come too? This sounds like just the tonic for the current craziness we're living through!
  7. Does anybody know somewhere quiet(ish) and safe to take a beginner driver, before they are let loose on the road with an instructor? My concern around 30 minutes on an industrial estate car park is being charged for car parking?! THANKS ALL!
  8. Excellent idea!
  9. Ace thanks I've ordered a second blue bin!
  10. I live in a converted house, which is now two flats. We have two green bins, one brown bin, one food waste bin and one blue bin. Should we have two blue bins as we're two households and have two green bins? We recycle more than we throw away and could do with two blue and one green bin! Southwark's website is really vague. Any ideas?
  11. I?m having to wfh because our office is closed (as a precaution, not due to illness), I?d love to help out! Assume many of those who are vulnerable may not online though.

  13. Hi all, I have damp in my flat. I'm looking for somebody to tell me whether it's internal or external and then to fix it. I notice that Dave is a plasterer. Did he do any external work to seal windows or re-point brickwork etc for any of you? I want to make sure I'm solving the problem and not merely, plastering over it! Thanks so much, JW
  14. Following as also interested!
  15. Interesting to see the road-by-road responses.
  16. What?s reassuring about all this is that I?m not alone in this nonsense! What I also like are the tales of triumph over adversity. We win, not the sofas. Mine will get cut up at some point, They?ve had a good innings.
  17. I always forget Habitat after that closed so many stores - thanks for recommending. And for the other suggestions too. ED peeps are the best.
  18. You guys are all ace, thanks for helping! Here's the larger of the two.
  19. That first link doesn't work (so intrigued now!) Thanks for the second link!
  20. No sash windows I'm afraid. They really tried to get it out. I need to get the banister and door frames removed to get it out (which is what I think the previous owners had to do too). So I'm opting to get them broken-up instead, which I feel is the lesser of two evils. I've been given a full refund. Any recommendations of people offering this very niche service?!
  21. I've just had a failed delivery of a sofa because it won't fit up my stairs (despite ordering one in two pieces and being assured that it would be fine). They also can't get my two old sofas out, which were sold to me by the previous owners because they were so difficult to get in. I now also have some fetching marks on my walls. It hasn't been a great morning! The only option for getting the old sofas out is to cut them up (the arms don't come off etc.). Which feels wasteful, but the delivery men tried lots of different options to no avail. Does anybody have any experience of this? Is there a service for breaking up and taking away old furniture? I don't want any more of my flat damaged in the process. Any tips / advice / recommendations gratefully recieved. (I'm off to have a little cry)
  22. Any news on this. The builders are in, the hoardings are down... so who?s moving in?
  23. So are people commenting as part of the consultation and if so what?
