  1. The situation as a whole isn't funny but that article is (and I say this as someone who is unhealthily obsessed with their cats and quite concerned about their safety now, hence the constant checking of this thread).
  2. Do you think a Vet would scan it to check for a microchip? Means its owner would at least know what had happened to it.
  3. Probably unlikely as he's a mix and this is in Honor Oak but someone spotted a Siamese sitting by the train tracks the other day on the SE23 forum: http://www.se23.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=11763
  4. You'll also have the cinema a short bus journey down the road once it opens.
  5. Is this something you need to organise a large group to do (eg book one of the packages on the website) or can just one or two of you turn up and have a go?
  6. Wow, I wondered if it might have hit a house it was so close. How scary that must have been for them!
  7. Thanks Katzenbaer.
  8. Do you know how they stole her purse? Did they just grab it off her on the doorstep or did she invite them in/they forced their way in and stole it?
  9. I would also highly recommend Steve. After discussion gave a very reasonable quote for cutting the hedge and took the time to do it exactly as needed. He was reliable and quick to respond by email and phone. Will use again

i*Rate - they do actually have a veggie main: King oyster mushrooms, celeriac puree, gnocchi ?17.50. To give them credit one vegetarian option out of five mains isn't too bad. Still think it's overpriced though!

From looking at menus they're more expensive than the Crooked Well and Franklins. At over ?18 for a main and ?7 for a dessert I can't see myself going there. But guess they've worked out that East Dulwich has enough people who can afford (and want to pay) these sorts of prices for a local gastropub for them to make a success of it.
  12. I hope this doesn't come across as rude as it's not meant to be, but are you from the UK? The reason I ask is because my experience is that it's more unusual to be religious than not. I've lived in ED all my life and throughout my school life those with an obvious religious affiliation (ie actually living by religious beliefs/attending a place of worship regularly) were in the definite minority rather than the majority, so except for the choice of school issue I wouldn't have thought any of the other things you raise would be a problem at all.
  13. Is 4 hours the most people need for a park visit then? That's the bit I most object to. I don't go to the park that regularly (probably once a month) but I haven't ever noticed dangerous/obstructive parking. Do you know how people can give their views on this?
  14. From their twitter account it looks like they're in already - getting ready for the end of July/August.
  15. Went in the other day and had salted caramel and chocolate chip - delicious! Bit pricey but you do get a lot of ice cream and we ended up sharing a medium between two of us.
