So much for James Barber's contributions.....
Weegee replied to Townleygreen's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I found James very helpful. I spoke to him directly recently about the proposed sale of the Dulwich Hamlet Football ground. He was very helpful and patient in answering my questions. So I think this thread is a bit unfair. -

OK I know that limited numbers of the I-Phone have been sold to heavy use customers of T-Mobile. But is the I Phone 3GS ever gone to come out on T-Mobile? Its out on Orange, soon on Vodaphone as well as O2...but not T-Mobile yet. Anyone in the mobile business..or work for T-Mobile please enlighten me.

This should be great fun..im really lookiing forward to it. The downstairs section is nice at Boho Bar...subtle lighting, plenty of space , to sit/stand and talk....and we dont have to SHOUT over the music!!!

Yesterday saw the publication of the league tables for Primary Schools. Southwark Primary School League Tables As parents with children in this borough, what do you make of them? (I work for the company that prepared the data for them...I am very proud of the work we have done in collecting the data!)

Im not a betting man....so does that mean....that Labour has longer odds of winning this than the Tories? -
mugging on Melbourne Grove (3rd November)
Weegee replied to sylvie's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Im sad to read this. Last night I was driving at Traffic lights near Sainsburys Dog Kennel Hill and I saw a suited guy chasing a youth. The suited guy was shouting at the youth. Sadly it looked the guy (who was probably on way home from work) had been mugged. I felt sorry for him. One reassuring thing I saw though, the night before was a Special Constable walking along our road. Maybe we need more Community/Special Policeman patrolling round these high risk areas? -
God how inconsiderate of people to do this. They are either lazy, ignorant or both! I think we should 'out' them ie if anyone sees them walking along with their dogs and not 'scooping', we should take a photo of them and put it on here!

I have spoken to my local councilor on this issue and here was his response to this guys proposed plan to sell: 'Due to complicated planning rules the site is on Metropolitan Open Land. It would be extraordinary if any developer were to buy this land, even if it was for sale, as the MOL status would make it very long winded to convert to non MOL. Such a status change would be contrary to all Southwark Council strategic planning document, London Plan. It would have to get past planning committee, if they appealed after being refused a planning inspector. It would then go to the secretary of state. That would take 2-3 years AFTER any application was made' I must say that this greatly re-assured me.

Take the 37 into Brixton and you get some great clubs including Mass, 414 and Dex Club

Do people think Greendale is safe in the evening?

Nice one mate. Im glad you were able to stand up to this thug and sort him out!! I know Greendale well and my daughter went to Mother Goose. I have to say walking back in the dark with her..hasnt really bothered me..though this was around 6pm I wouldnt walk down there after that time. -
Ive just read this article. This is an outrage! Ive enjoyed going to the games at Dulwich Hamlet since we moved here a year ago. The football ground is an important part of the local history. I'm not suprised that the owner wants to sell out to property developers and make a killing. Im afraid it also includes the gym of which im a member. This is not good!!

Yep was a great little evening. Was a nice little turnout of people who had a good laugh and chat. Nice to meet Sean, Sue, Andrew , Mockney Piers. Was great to meet Brendon and LegalEagle-ish for the first time. LegalEagle-ish, you kept me laughing all night with your stories,., views on the world etc.. I had a slight grumble about the music in Hoopers..but towards the end of the evening , it wasnt as loud as last year! All in a good night. Hello To Sean , Sue and Georgia who i bumped into over the weekend during my daughters birthday celebrations!
