Yes that now rings a bell. I was out clubbing in Brixton a few years back....and came out of the club to be met by her. She said the same story to me...My friend dragged me away and said she should call the police. I then saw her again ...think round the clapham area. Told her that id seen her before in Brixton..which she quickly denied!!

Hi Jean I am a resident of Abbotswood Road and have full sympathy for you. The guys who play on Tuesday and Thursday ...play games on the artificial pitch next to Dulwich Hamlet football ground. Is your private parking place...off road? If so they should not park in it at all. I get sometimes annoyed when they are in sitting in their cars chatting to their mates blocking off their mates. I would recommend making a complaint to Southwark Council Parking Enforcement...they do make occasional visits to our road...so feel free to stop them and comment. I would recommed taking a photo of the offending vehicle in your space. The club should NOT be asking for public support to park in a public place that is quite outrageous...I would speak to Jack Payne (chairman of Dulwich Hamlet) about this , if its evident. Hope that all helps!

Hi Mike Franster and I used to live on Burrow Road..now on Abbotswood Road. Its a nice road...where we first lived when we moved here. Its about a 10 min walk to East Dulwich station..about 2 mins to the Sainsburys (open 24 hrs) and of course you have tbe Dulwich Hamlet Football Ground which is great fun local football. The neighbours are mainly young couples, families and very nice and friendly. Ooh just down the road from Burrow Road...is Costcutter...open 24 hrs , 7 days a week ...fully stocked with booze all the time! Yes you have us, Ladygooner, Ladymuck, Dave and Ratty living here! -

That sounds good. I work near Tate Modern so I could ride that way. Do you have a map for this route?

Weegee replied to Pirate78's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi Pirate78 Im very sorry to hear about what happened. Often ive come back from work in the evening and thought about cutting through the park to Sainsburys,...but have decided to go the long way round. Yes we need more lighting but also maybe more police/ special constable patrolling round that area....there have also been problems round the alleyway behind Dulwich Hamlet Football ground with gangs. -
Hi there I wholeheartedly disagree with the title of this thread. I wrote to James regarding a proposed sale of the Dulwich Hamlet Football ground, a matter that deeply troubled me. James responded very quickly but also he was very detailed in his answer and re-assured my concerns. I think hes a great councillor Yeah we had a visit from our local councillor...problem was that they were from the wrong party....the LABOUR PARTY! Mr Barber, I wish you had called round our house. I would have like to shake your hand and thank you. Theres nowt wrong with being cheerful. Keep up the good work Mr B!!!

I thought it was a great result yesterday. Ok Rafa Nadal wasnt 100% fit...but even so Murray would have still beaten him on this form...(ie look at their 2008 US Open Semi final which Murray won convincely. I think Andy Murray is the best thing to happen to BRITISH tennis in a long time. At the age of 22 he has reached a US Open final, Wimbledon semi final, Australian Open semi final as well as a career high ranking of 2 in the world. I really hope (and I think he will) acheive that breakthrough and land that 1st Grand Slam Paddy Power have put him as odds on favourite for the australian open now!!

Congratulations to Mockney Piers and Mrs Mockney Piers on the birth of Rory Will you be joining me and other recent new fathers (Inc Mick Mac) at tbe next EDF Drinks?

Great to see familiar faces includin Raj, Sean, Lady Muck, James Cornell, Mazza, Mazzas mate, Daizie etc Also nice to meet some new faces including Hibbs,Mick Mac, ???? etc. My first time at The Lodge...and I liked the venue. Plenty of space to sit relax and chat. And nice bar staff, who managed to knock me up a Pina Collada (in case anyone was wondering the milky drink I had!) I dont feel too bad today considering the mix of drinks I had!!
