    Paris

I read in the paper somewhere that Paris Hilton is in talks with Endemol to enter the Big Brother house for the next celebrity series. I can't wait. How about you?
  2. I liked how the interior design on them (and some routemasters?) was basically the same as the old District Line trains... in a kind of nostalgic way.
  3. As I said, you have to match my salary :)) I think Keef's godly power should be along the lines of pointing at a pint of Grolsch, which then miraculously becomes a Grolsch top. All these new appointments are going to make Candice's job a lot easier. Maybe we should put her in charge of the holy ladder that leads from Sydenham to the CPT?
  4. Did anyone see the car at the bottom of Barry Road the other morning mildly wrapped around a lamp post? Some joker put a printed note on the windscreen along the lines of "Clock House complimentary valet service" Guessing this has probably already been in another thread and I missed it.. in which case, sorry for the bump!
  5. spadetownboy Wrote: > theres a place in kent near maidstone called > snodland,i kid you not. There's a place in the Lake District called Cockermouth too. I kid you not. I went there at Christmas time once.
  6. I'll be Temple of Keef's royal quality control guy. Basically I'd make sure he had the right amount of lemonade in his Grolsch top. He'd have to match my salary, though.
  7. MadWorld74 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > calling everybody 'Ghastly Beasts'... My English teacher once called me a blithering idiot. I pissed myself. I also like replacing 'a load of sh*t' with 'a crock of sh*t' these days.
  8. Keef, Mockney, Ant, Fear n' Boozin', SeanMacGabhann are all legendary chaps. Bradlington, although quiet on the forum is one of my new favourites following the last two meets and a chance encounter on the train. Quality chap, and he thinks more kids should be into astronomy.
  9. Anywhere I can see potential, or indeed selected design(s) for the bags? I just trawled through the thread and must have missed it if it has been posted. I'm a bit confused, and didn't even have a beer with my lunch! :-)
  10. 5 o'clock Fridays, rock on! See you all there hopefully!
  11. Keef Wrote: > Apparently the place was full of stupidly > beautiful people, and the staff didn't even get to > be in it! It would have done wonders for the cpt lonely hearts club wall (where did that go, by the way? It was hilarious!)
  12. I already watched the whole thing on the Sci-Fi channel. Great series. I'd have the power Hiro has. He can pause time and teleport places. If you like Hiro, wait until you see the pre-season 2 warm up bit at the end of the last in the series. It's going to be brilliant!
  13. ahhhh ohhhh I see :-) you learn something new every day!
  14. bols? bowels? what? you lost me :-)
  15. Also, anyone make it to any of the air shows this year?
  16. I did a google on the aircraft spacing thing and haven't come up with anything. I left my private pilot's textbook at my mum's. I think it's something like 2nm horizontal and 1,000 feet vertical separation.
  17. Kids today are so interweb savvy, so prank postings on the forum? They could go out in the morning to do their prank research and then post in the afternoon. :-p
  18. BALLS! Sorry. Don't tell Candice.
  19. As a former member of staff, I'll give you all the important info: DRINK! Wine House White, House Red, neither of which are very special from what I can tell. On Draught Carlsberg Carling Grolsch Stella Guinness Guinness Extra Cold Strongbow Bottled Beck's Corona Tiger Budweiser (USA) Budweiser Budvar Kaliber! Smirnoff Ice Smirnoff Black Ice Full range of Schweppe's mixers many more I can't remember Fountain Coca Cola Diet Coca Cola Lemonade (Schweppes I think) Soda Water Back Bar Massive selection of crisps & nuts for a pub inc. Walkers Sensations and Doritos. Lime, Lemon, Orange slices (most days!) Jack Daniel's Jim Beam Jim Beam Black Smirnoff Vodka ok, it's basically a well-stocked back bar, everything you'd want, really. Weekly Schedule Quiz on Wednesdays, quite difficult. On the 'old' side of the pub, gets quite busy. Sky Sports on 'new' side is on all day, just ask a member of staff if they're showing the game/match you'd like to see and they'll put it on. Basically works on a first-come-first-serve basis or by popular demand (basically, if there's Premiership Football on, don't bother asking if the Curling Asia Cup is on or something!) Locals Varied, but as Keef pointed out the main bulk of locals at the moment are 20-30 somethings, probably due to the friendly nature of the full time staff (not that the part timers aren't friendly!) who fit that age bracket. All of the locals are friendly people, and there was only one incident of someone getting barred in the 5 months I worked there (and he wasn't a local). So, how bored am I on my lunch break?
  20. I definitely would do, I even have my DS on me! Thing is, I don't know where you live, although I know it's around that area! p.s. liking 'Roadster'
  21. um... what time? I want to start drinking really soon....!
  22. Yes, I'll start working on the beard, and also my deep, booming voice (and laugh to accompany). I might pick up a pipe too.
  23. Don't worry, I suspect BusyBee works at a local florist and is trying to flog as many carnations as possible. ;-) Might be able to make it to this one! Bazzer
  24. Mockney, Fear n' Boozin, anyone else 'nerd enough', when do we meet up to find out about Mockney's findings? I want maps (drawn with dipping-pen), lanterns and Adnams. People interested in all this sort of thing love Adnams, right? Them and cyclists. I feel a survey coming on....
  25. DM - I haven't spotted a DulwichDad on here yet, sorry for the mistake! Get well soon :-)
