Hello! i forgot to ask my Midwife how many appointments I will have during my maternity care. I have had my booking appointment my next is at 16 weeks then after that could someone enlighten me as and when ? This is my second baby and I cannot remember or find my appointments for my first child which was 5 years ago! I am medium risk due to complications with the first birth. And in terms of scans at what stages are they done? I have to attend other appointments so I'm Trying to work out what Appointments of mine can fall together so I can take time off work to attend them! ( I know my employer must give me reasonable time off but I have so many to go to I would rather take an afternoon off as opposed to run from work !)

I used the nail polish for nail biting. My Daughter stopped sucking her two middle fingers. However she has moved onto the small finger on her left now. I would put the liquid on all the fingers :) I am currently putting on the liquid when she lets me as we discuss that she is a big girl now and I want her to quit on her own!!!

I am not looking to take my employers to the cleaners!!! I have been asked to find a legal representative to check through my agreement who is independent from the company I work for. Albeit my case is slightly different as I wont be leaving for another year!

Hello, Does anyone happen to know what appointment times they offer for ultrasounds at kings college maternity ( Harris birthright centre). I know they have 8.15am appointments and possibly 6.30pm appointments. Does anyone know if they do earlier than 8.15am?

Hello! I am pretty unaware and have googled it to the max! I need advice on the schooling system. Please don't laugh! I am in my mid 20's and pretty much know no-one with children as my friends/ family do not have kids yet and if they do they are under 2! My daughter turns 3 this May. I know she will be allocated the 15 free school hours in September. My daughter already goes to a fantastic private nursery and I will be able to use my 15 hours there. Now I would like to move her to a community nursery/ pre school as I would like to stop working as soon as baby 2 is here. could anyone advise if firstly is it a good move to move her from a private nursery in which she is happy has friends and is comfortable with the carers there to a school nursery ? I ask this, as I am an only child and I went to my school nursery then followed onto the same primary school so I moved with my friends. I am quite conscience about this and just need some honest parental advice. As I am well aware in Dulwich you do not necessary get a space in the primary school because you've attended the nursery! secondly- how and when do I apply for the school nursery places in Dulwich ? ( I do live in Dulwich just in case anyone thinks I live in a different place and want a place in Dulwich!) thirdly- primary school applications , do I need to start the application process NOW? I know I need to join up to the e-admissions website. and does anyone know of a website where I can locate all the primary schools near me? sorry for the long post- but I just need someone to explain the process!

I have one afternoon baby free! is there any where in dulwich or near enough for a nice pedicure/manicure? not overly expensive please!! i did not want to post in the business trade section as i did not want the issue of false recommendations :( its my one afternoon off i have had in 2 years ( LO is at nursery!) and i just want to spend it pampering myself!!

SUN lover would you mine sharing how you laid it yourself? we are seriously struggling with doing anything to our front drive ( half a pile of crap/ weeds) half paved off. We cannot afford to redo the whole drive and have had quotes for artifical grass ( ?4.5k being the cheapest)

I am not keen on pull ups but have bought them as to be honest the only experience i have is that of my mothers with me! and i just decided to use the toilet on my own accord! I have been encouraging toilet trips. I think i need to be more proactive as you suggested and take her myself and we can read etc on the toilet.

Hello, Does anyone have any tips on toilet training? My near 3 year old uses the toilet in nursery but has never actually done a wee at home in the toilet. i have the baby bjorn seat, a step for her to get easy access. I tried a while back but it was unsucessful so i gave up waiting for her to want to try. She would rather stay in nappies!! she loves underwear, we have bought doctor mcstuffins etc ones. She likes pull ups but she will just do a wee etc in the pull up. Now her nursery carers have told us she is the last toddler in their group who needs to be trained ( pressure much!) but she only goes nursery 2 days a week and will be going 3 days a week next month to help the potty training along. Also - i am not sure how to tackle accidents physically... in terms of i have light grey carpet in the house and black leather sofa's etc. I obviously dont mind my daughter having an toilet mishap but i dont know how to put preventative measures in to protect the carpet etc!

Hello! In order to keep costs low I was going to tile the Inbetween kitchen work top and upper cabinet. Now wondering if plastic splash back is a good alternative? What would go behind the cooker ? I have a range cooker. And does anyone know of a trust worthy Company that can measure the space for me and fit ? Also does anyone know somewhere where I can get the tiles cut smaller ? As I was going to use the same pattern as the floor but as they are wall and floor tiles I was just going to use them but they are 60 by 30 in size and standard Inbetween cabinet length is 50cm. So in this scenario I can use a 60 by 60 tile as that's the only other size they do and chop of 10cm? Which is why I was wondering if someone knew a place I could get tiles cut i would try the metro tile Type size ? Or just do as I suggested ?? Anybody help???

You might have DVt/ blood clot? As you have travelled on a flight it might be worth checking. My DVt started like that but I was stupid and left it until I couldn't walk to go the hospital and I did go GP but didn't have any real symptoms minus pain in my thigh x
