Ambulance and Police outside Tessa Jowell Centre
Mrs C replied to Balance102's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
@kbabes - I know it was just a flippant remark, but someone was in a very bad way and were being shielded by sheets either side, presumably to give them and the paramedics some privacy. I hope they are going to be OK. -
Hello, Is anyone aware of why LL was closed? I saw multiple ambulances near Goose Green and hoping everyone is OK.

Hello, Please can I have your recommendations for a wonderfully engaging children’s entertainer for a 4year olds birthday party? Thank you!

Haven't needed to ask him for help for a while, but have previously used Gary and definitely recommend!

Has anyone received their garden/brown bin sticker?
Mrs C replied to Mrs C's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yup, after March and a new tax year, the subscription fee will likely rise as the ?25 was essentially an ?intro offer?. Those who subscribe will get a sticker for their brown bin so their garden waste is collected. Those without a sticker will have their brown bin taken away I believe. Food can no longer go in the big garden brown bin and so if you want, you can request a smaller food caddy free of charge. -
Has anyone received their garden/brown bin sticker?

Thanks 73jem, and Robbie - I would be surprised if the stickers are unique. I?ll be very interested to see how it all plays out! -
Saied is by far my best "find" on this forum! After reading all of the positive reviews, I contacted him to do a garden tidy up. He came to talk me through everything and then booked in a date. He's punctual, tidy, SO lovely, has great ideas and is extremely knowledgable. Richard and he cleared out all of the dead and got the garden prepped. They then went shopping for all of the necessaries and planted everything up - consulting with me throughout the whole process. He's asked me to keep him informed of how we are getting on and to call on him if we need anything. He really is so, so helpful and lovely - a true gem and I'm so pleased we have met him. Looking forward to working with him for many years.

Autumn babies group (September/October/November 2018)
Mrs C replied to carebear's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi all, We are due our second in November and would love to join whatsapp group/meetups. I did some of Michele?s yoga classes at goose green and also Jelly Bellies which I really liked so might do a bit of both this time round. I think Adriana was on MAT leave so we did classes with ?The Group?. Would recommend them and might do the morning session for second time parents if anyone is keen to join? -
Thanks all for your comments.. I best get saving!

Hi all, I'm keen to get a sense check on childcare costs and would love to hear some views... Our daughter is in childcare 3 days a week. Next year she will be in 4 days a week, as will her sibling. We absolutely love the setting she is in and would like to keep her there, which would mean the cost would be above ?150 a day for both children.. Approx ?650 for 4 days feels quite a lot, but then how we feel about the environment and what we want is really, really important. Is that cost mad? Is it normal? I'd be really interested to hear people's experiences. Please PM if you'd prefer. Thanks so much.

Had another visit from Aston last week. I contacted him really last minute and he managed to fit me in on my tight schedule. He?s really polite, efficient and meticulous. He?s also very punctual! He really is a pleasure to have in your home and I?d recommend him to others.

Silvester Rd post collection shambles
Mrs C replied to bels123's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I could have written this post myself. It is absolutely RIDICULOUS. My parcel they lost last month was found 3 weeks later and today they found my parcel that they couldn?t find yesterday. What is going on there? It?s a joke. -
I?ve had Aston come round before and was very pleased with his work and approach so booked him again this week. He?s very meticulous, hard working and a pleasure to have in your home. If you are looking for someone who will do a job really well, I?d definitely recommend you contact him! His number is: +44 7490 947355

Elliot is great. He is really lovely, and very keen to ensure you are 100% happy with any work he is doing for you. He's really reliable, punctual and also v v tidy. He was a pleasure to have in our home. He was great at talking through ideas with me, and very quick to send through a quote too. Whilst fitting some shelves in our wardrobe, he had to paint a small section he wasn't planning to, so ended up painting that whole side so that it didn't look out of place. He really takes pride in his work and won't leave until you are completely happy with what he has done. I've had him back since and again, he was great. Quick, tidy and just a genuinely lovely guy.

After seeing so many positive comments I thought I would contact Aston to help me with some shelves and hanging pictures. He was really quick to book me in and was able to fit my timescales. I think he accidentally double booked me but was so apologetic and tried his best to accommodate a time I could do. We found a suitable time and he came round, perfectly on time. He's really lovely and was very friendly, efficient and professional. I would definitely recommend him and having had trouble finding someone local I could count on I will definitely be using him again.

Another recommendation for Andy. I spoke to him on Saturday and he came round the next day as he could fit me in. He was on time and very friendly. He was helping me put up quite a few photo frames. He usually charges a set amount per frame, but due to how many of them, he felt the charge if he was to do them all at his usual price was too high for the overall job. He therefore let me know the price and asked me what I thought was reasonable. He brought everything with him and was very tidy (using the hoover as he drilled to avoid the dust in the first place - amazing!). The job took quite a chunk of his day but I was very pleased with the end result. Lovely guy. His number is: 07564194363.
