  1. Totally agree with treehugger above. Takes me 35-40 minutes on a bicycle from Wood Vale to Fitzrovia at a rather sedate pace down the surrey canal path and through Burgess Park. If you're getting sweaty either you are going really fast or doing it wrong.
  2. You can hear them from miles away. Like a less glamorous Concorde.

That's great. Thanks for the Info James.
  4. Hi James, Not sure if this question has been asked already, but do you know when Arriva will be replacing its absurdly noisy and dirty 176 fleet? I note that the 363 and 185 have recently been upgraded to Enviro400s and was wondering if there we any plans to replace the current 176 buses with something similar?
  5. Aesthetics? Have any of the designers actually used the space on a regular basis? A clearly delineated cycle Lane would be far safer for both people on foot and people cycling.

I live just by where this incident happened and saw the police activity when I arrived home at 6.45pm. I was quite curious that there was nothing on the EDF or in the Standard as from the state of the bike, the yellow accident markers and the fact they had a police van doing skid tests I assumed there had been a fatality. That part of Lordship Lane is part of the south circular and as far as I know does not have a 20mph limit.
  7. I voted for it too and was happy to see it win. Much more useful and a better use of funds than other proposed bridges one could mention.
  8. Granada, Cordoba and/or Seville. Further west Cadiz and Jerez are great too. If you are planning on visiting the Alhambra, it is worth checking availability of tickets either on the Ticketmaster website - http://www.ticketmaster.es/en/tickets-family/alhambra-general/2/ - or with your hotel before you book your accommodation as tickets can sell out well in advance.
  9. Yep. Gone again. Lol.
  10. Yes. Underhill Rd too. Although back up just now.
  11. @Pevara It rather sounds like you do not care what road the traffic goes down as long as it is not along the road that you live.

Yep - this is the response I got from Andy Simmons when I raised it at one of his surgeries a couple of weeks ago. Unless there are a couple of KSIs at the junction, you can pretty much forget it until there is a change in administration at City Hall.
  13. I live nearby and we've not had any communication from TFL on what is happening with the crossing or how long it will be out of use which we did get on works nearby recently. I hope the staff and residents at Bradbury Oak House on Underhill Road have because as you say the residents there rely on this crossing to get about.
