Tiny Little Things That Cause You Irrational Rage
clockworkorange replied to PinkyB's topic in The Lounge
Nearly everything about buses, especially the 363. Why at 630 in the morning is the floor soaked with coke? Why are the hand rails Covered in grease? Why on an empty bus is there always some dullard standing with a bag in the way? Why must the driver accelerate as fast as they can for 20m then break hard? Why will nobody open a window to let the stink of fried chicken out? Feel Much better.... -
Manhole fire on oakhurst road. Power out as a result. Any safe deposit boxes nearby beware!

Local Shop For Local People
clockworkorange replied to Jah Lush's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Love this shop. Jenf - how do you feel about running a loyalty card scheme, or offering a discount if you buy a crate? I'd then love it even more. -
No but Where a outs was this?

A pretty rediculous request even for this forum. perhaps you'd be happier if construction was only out of school hours and through the night? Jeremy's suggestion seems a good one. Perhaps as well we could petition all parents, children, pedestrians, cyclists and scooter users to take some personal responsibility, obey the Highway Code, watch where they're are going and not sneak up the inside of lorries? Just a thought.

What a bellend. Approve of that spelling.

The nppf provides guidance about resisting backland development. How old I the spd noted above, pre 2012 and its probably out of date. Trees are a concern and the London plan seeks to protect them. Amenity, privacy, London housing spg 2012 standards, access, parking are all good reasons to object. Don't mention profit, or bent planners and politicians - that will garuntee permission is granted. Call the case officer, your ward member and think more strategically.

Signed with pleasure. I particularly like the feet up on the seat, tucking into the family bucket look. Some real peasants in these parts.

Rather than bashing planning system, where your comments are entirely wrong and misinformed, why don't you instruct a planning consultant to object to any formal planning application. I am certain they'd find you factual arguments rather than those based on morality. You would be better of finding out who is on the planning committee and who the relevant councillor is and mp, then lobbying them. This application will not be determined by "the planners". In my view, the loss of playing fields at a time that the efa is desperately trying to find/fund sites to support the growing numbers of school places amounts to a material consideration that would have weight. As for the legal stuff, ill leave that to the lawyers on this forum. Suggest you instruct one them too!

High rise ED (April 2015 M&S planning application)
clockworkorange replied to AbDabs's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Can ot be explained why m&s do not simply move into icelsnd unit.a1 use for a1 use. No need for planning at all. What is the fuss with a few extra flats? Given it seems permission is granted already, and all the local fuss, it does seem odd that they don't just get on with it. -

Tiny Little Things That Cause You Irrational Rage

that the self service device in supermarkets sees no irony in urging you to "please take your change" and "please take your items" (quickly please dear) after its pissed around for 5 mins finding unexpected items, called for assistance and checked twice if I want to continue.all I wanted was to buy some wine and a bag of crisps, why must it be like this! -

Neighbourhood Development Plan for East Dulwich?
clockworkorange replied to wpl's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
To create a neighbourhood plan you must first get a neighbourhood area designated and a neighbourhood forum set up. The plan will need to be in accordance with southwark core strategy and new local plan. Then you need to get it agreed with the council. In turn it needs to be approved by planning inspectorate and then it needs to be approved by referendum. The plan must be positive and not seek to prevent otherwise appropriate development. In short, if your agenda is to prevent much needed housing in an urban and sustainable location, you're wasting your time and money. If you want to use the plan to identify locations for development needed by the community, ie housing, schools, community infrastructure, it's worth pursuing. -
Railway Rise Demolition - Consultation now open
clockworkorange replied to chazzle's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
If the cottages remain residential dwellings, suggest you object on the grounds of loss of residential. Southwark have policies on this point. There's a need for family housing, so loosing these is also contrary to the development plan. What's the reason for the demo? Speak to councils heritage team. I don't think southwark have a "local list" but check. If so, you could ask it be put on. You'd need solid justification. Suggest victorian society and any local conservation area group (doubt this is in a ca though) will be well placed to advise. -
Peckham Rye Police OP Big Wing Day

I wondered if this was anything to do with stopping the tumble weave in rye lane. I realised I misread the op....
