    Dog walking

I'm mystified as to why someone would think the Rye "is laced with poison" though.

    Dog walking

Dawson's Hill is quite fun for dogs (a bit wilder than a park), plus there's rarely anyone there. Smaller than the Rye, of course, but then it's a small dog! Access from Dunstan's Rd southern end.
  4. CP, what makes you think it was demonic?
  5. I think Pearson should roll down to Zippo's and join the circus as a bearded lady.
  6. There was a story a couple of weeks ago (Southwark News?) about some 20 'pit bull type' dogs having been seized in Southwark in the last month. Operation Bark, I think it's called. So perhaps the police are starting to act. Also I hear there's a plan to microchip all dogs belonging to council tenants. Is this so?
  7. I used a letting agent in East Dulwich. They put in a tenant from hell, having not checked anything. Not only was the tenant from hell being chased by several utility companies and most of the councils in London... but the agents would ring me up when she complained (for example) about a light bulb blowing. Complete nightmare. Same thing happened with a different agent, on a different property, in East Dulwich. The tenant used a fake name, was not what he said he was, and nothing had been checked. Turned out he was a bailiff magnet (again, offences from across London), and in the end was being chased by the Met Police for alleged GBH on a bus driver in Brixton, amongst other things. Needless to say, when I re-occupied the property I had a trail of bailiffs turning up at my door, plus the Lambeth police sitting in my kitchen. It took me considerable time and effort to expunge the black mark over my property. (And this bloke is still using this as his driver registration address unfortunately, as DVLA will only change vehicle registration on my say-so, not driver - only he can do that, and of course he won't, for obvious reasons.) All the private lets I've done have been fine.

You know Pearson, I have very little regard for saddo fatty crinklies who have failed in life and want to blame everyone else for their troubles. Like you. Or do you think you belong in a different pigeon-hole? Like track-suited alcoholic wasters, for example?
  9. Yes, *Bob*. Or rather, he's stalking every community that Zippo's visits. As soon as anyone says anything he doesn't like about Zippo's, from Hampshire (Southsea) to the Scottish Borders (Hawick), he's onto whatever media he can insert himself into: local papers, local forums... and often using the label 'local' when he doesn't live in any of these places.
  10. The average house price in Detroit is currently $60k.
  11. So in a dark/black room Huguenot?
  12. Adrian Corti, 04/07/2009 08:32:28 The Scottish public have brains of their own, they do not need to be dictated to by the likes of the farcical 'Bunny Huggers' or politically motivated CAPS, who are looking for donations as always! Zippos circus features 4 horses, 2 ponies and some pet budgies. Now correct me if I am wrong, but these are domesticated animals, and have been for centuries! The animals at Zippos are cherished members of the circus family, showing people how man & animals work together as they have for centuries. Tens of thousands of people visit & enjoy Zippos every year, compared with the small vociferous minority that try & force their views on everyone else! If the truth be known, CAPS & bunny huggers would have compulsary vegetarianism, they would ban all human contact with animals, ban pets, ban horse racing, ban police horses, ban fishing etc etc... I highly recomend Zippos circus with its brilliant well cared for & happy animals. Just look at the kids faces when the horses come out.... real childhood experiences & memories. Do not beleive all you hear from these activists, see for yourself how well cared for these animals are, and Scottish born Tom Roberts presenting his beautiful palamino horses! Thankyou.
  13. So where did you travel from yesterday, Adrian? Shepperton? Staines?
  14. Adrian Corti, Surrey 26/08/2009 15:03:26 Firstly, let's get this into context, maybe a dozen vociferous protestors stand outside the Big Tops, whilst during Zippos stay in Southsea, thousands of people go in & see the show, proving that the majority of people DO want to see good quality circus with well cared for animals in, polls are irrelevant, as the people who do agree with animals in circuses never vote, but audience figures show a different story, as UK animals circuses are reporting their best ever years! Zippos has horses & budgies, animals that have been domesticated by man for thousands of years. The horses receive the best care going, with 24 hour grooms, and a big area to run around in, in the day! They are part of the circus family. They are on constant dispay to the public, and cost a lot of money to keep, feed, transport, vet bills etc... the circus has animals because they want to, they love animals too, and have far more knowledge about them than the do gooders stood at the front! If the truth be known, they would ban all human contact with animals, no pets, no fishing, no horse racing, no zoos, no police horses, and there would be compulsary vegetarianism! Please use your own minds to decide to visit the excellent Zippos family circus, not be bullied by these people, speiling inaacurrate out dated stuff at the front. Good luck to Zippos, and their lovely animals, and I look forward to seeing this great, repectable circus again!
  15. Adrian, what exactly is your job at Zippo's? PR?
  16. Thinking of getting rid of the old CRT TV. Wondering whether to get projector rather than a flat screen TV. I don't watch much actual TV. (I use a Tivo for the odd time-shifted programme, also iPlayer/4OD.) It's mainly movies and similar. Any projector experiences? I'd be projecting onto a wall.
  17. So is it a house, or is it a flat? Your title says one thing, your text another.
  18. Pearson Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Climate change is bollocks. > We certainly weren't around during the last ice > age to be accused of that thank god. Climate change bollox? And I suppose there's peak oil bollox too? We are in for a pretty bumpy ride all in all, and the head-in-the-sand position is unlikely to get you anywhere useful.

  20. Best think if you see something is to point and shoot with your phone camera. They back off really quickly.
  21. I once broke into my own place (had been mugged, keys stolen) by reaching through a grill with a long stick, knocking the spare keys off a sideboard about 3 metres away, and onto the floor, and nudging them towards me with the stick. It was easy enough to hook them then.
  22. Avoid having to do jury service - while still getting time off work - by turning up at court in a pinstripe suit carrying a copy of the Torygraph. You will be dropped from all juries and your time will be your own.
  23. daizie, you are waynetta's evil twin. ICM?5.
