  1. I had a walk-in jab at Lloyds Pharmacy in North Cross Road last week. Was surprised at how easy it was. I am 60 but I don't think that made a difference.

    Shots...

Did anyone else hear what sounded like gunshots last night around Midnight in Lordship Lane area - I think in the direction of the park but could be mistaken. I heard maybe four shots? Could've been an air rifle? I wondered if someone is taking pot shots at foxes again.
  3. Someone in Court Lane (I think) has got themselves a dog that spends much of its time outside, barking. I don?t know how people can be so inconsiderate. It has totally ruined the peace of my garden in Lordship Lane (which backs onto gardens in Court Lane). With that and the bloody parakeets, noise levels have risen to irritatingly loud levels. If it is your dog, I don?t know what you can do about it except don?t put the dog in the garden at various times of day and then just leave it there, barking.
  4. My house has been on the market for a year or so (although I took it off last summer for a few weeks). I?ve had 3 ?buyers?. The last one pulled out only after I had found a flat, had an offer accepted on it and commissioned and paid for a survey. It is now on for ?140k than it was 12 months ago. All very frustrating.
  5. The more people complain about the service, the stronger the rationale for closing it down altogether and moving it to Peckham. The staff are clearly under siege at this time of the year and can't cope with the volume of packages but it isn't their fault and they are also chronically understaffed and probably badly managed or whatever and if it moves to Peckham they potentially lose their jobs so to complain about the staff is just totally counter-productive. I for one would be incredibly inconvenienced by having to go to Peckham on a Saturday morning to pick up a parcel during the 11 months of the year that the office in Silvester Road provides a totally satisfactory service....so for goodness sake just factor in a wait and put up with it!
  6. A couple of postcards have arrived from someone called Mark for Ms Cavendish, addressed to flat 15, 424 Lordship Lane. I live at 424 and it is not me. Anyone know Ms Cavendish? I think Mark will be disappointed that his postcards aren't arriving....could it be for 44 Lordship Lane?
  7. I see this has happened before, but I have received a postcard from Malawi addressed to Zoe Burgis from a young friend of hers and it would be shame if she didn't get it. I am not sure how Zoe has managed to keep getting her address wrong (and I have lived at my address for 15 years) but please let me know if there is anywhere I can forward it to....
  8. Billy came and sorted out my radiators (they needed bleeding - doh) and he then came back and serviced my gas boiler. He was on time, polite and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
  9. I used Joseph McCann - I got two quotes and they were about the same But Joe could start straightaway. He was thorough, polite, did the job well without cutting corners and cleared up after himself. Happy to recommend. His mobile number is 07731 402840.
  10. JP Morgan bag (brown) containing boy's school sports kit including trainers found at bus stop in Lordship Lane. I'm guessing approximate age 12-14? Please call 07715 375 133 to be reunited.
