  4. Do you feel exhausted all the time, even after a long sleep? Find it impossible to lose weight and keep it off? Feel constantly stressed? Find yourself emotional eating and lacking in willpower? Experience cravings? Know you should make changes but lack the motivation or knowledge to do so? As a certified Holistic Nutrition and Health Coach, working and living in East Dulwich, I can help. Different from a nutritional therapist and dietician, I not only assess the nutritional needs, but consider the individual as more of a holistic entity, looking at other factors that constitute health - stress, sleep, etc. That said, I think the work of the above mentioned are fantastic in their own right, but what I do is something slightly different. Please see my website for more info thegreatestyou.co.uk/health-coaching/ I"m offering 10% off your first two sessions when booked before the end of January, so do get in touch and we can discuss your requirements. I can also provide references upon request, so please don't hesitate to ask. Many thanks, Tori hello@thegreatestyou.co.uk

  8. Hello, I just wanted to get the attention of any cat owners out there who may not realise how poisonous lilies are to cats. Lots of people know, but I now know that lots of people also don't have a clue. We were sadly in the latter group, and devastatingly our little black cat passed away a couple of weeks ago due to eating just ONE lily petal (as far as we know). I really feel that more people need to know of the dangers. The whole of the plant, leaves, stamen, petals, the lot are highly, highly poisonous - and if ingested cause kidney failure, and in some cases, as with ours, death. Also sending high praise to The Neighbourhood Vets who really did all they could, and provided such a high level of care and compassion during the difficult time. As did the emergency vets Elizabeth Street. They're also hopefully going to be putting up some posters around the surgery to spread awareness. Please, if you have cats, do not have lilies in the house. This may be old news to a lot of people, but even if just one owner sees this and didn't realise, I"m happy!

  11. Hi Anna, we're getting married in a couple of weeks and are having a band called the 'fandangoes'. Don't judge by the name!! We went to about 12 friends weddings last year and thees guys stood out as being the best by far. They are really fun and the main reason we chose them is just as you say, so we could have a good old boogie! Check them out. http://www.functioncentral.co.uk/acts/the_fandangos/ x
  12. Hello, As a certified yoga teacher working with both groups of children and individuals in the East Dulwich and surrounding areas, I have a few spots newly available over the summer, due to existing clients going away. In addition to adults, I currently teach 5-16 year olds in both a group capacity (at a local pre-prep nursery), and with individuals in their own homes - Often two siblings will come together for a class (I can take up to three siblings depending on ages). Yoga has been shown to be highly beneficial to children and young adults; helping them to relax, develop confidence, reduce anxiety and giving them the opportunity to express themselves in a non competitive and non-judgemental environment. Please note I am CRB (now called DBS) checked and can provide references on request. For more information and to book a session in for your little ones, do contact me on: hello@thegreatestyou.co.uk Many thanks, Tori
  13. Enjoy - I offer 121 yoga classes (in your home or mine), which are tailored to meet your needs, ability and requirements. Yoga and mindfulness are certainly excellent practices in reducing and dealing with stress, and i'd love to work with you on this. Please email toritaylorhealth@gmail.com for more information. Many thanks, Tori
  14. Hi Elliana, I offer one to one yoga classes in East Dulwich, at your own home or at a place that's convenient for you (also possible to come to my home too). I teach a moderately active vinyasa flow (or Ashtanga if preferred)style class, but work with individuals to suit their requirements. Tots absolutely welcome if we're able to occupy them whilst able to keep an eye too : ) Please email me for more info or to ask any questions/chat further. toritaylorhealth@gmail.com toritaylor.co.uk Best, Tori
  15. Interesting others have had the same - we were lucky then in the sense it was moved to our road and not somewhere we couldn't find it. It does all seems a bit underhand though - We live basically at the end of Ferris Rd on Oakhurst and didn't get a letter through the post or on the car. Have written to Southwark Council but not expecting a response.
  16. Not to mention the notice letter on the lamppost actually has the wrong dates on it...
  17. I know this is going to sound a little far fetched...but we left our car parked on Ferris Road on Sunday evening..I went to get into the car this evening, to see that Ferris Road had, during the day been resurfaced...with no sign of our little car...and only a few others that'd obviously parked after the works were done (and a very small sign stuck to a lamp post giving notice of the works). A few minutes panicking and sighing thinking it'd been towed away, I spotted it further down Oakhurst Grove. All we can think is that it'd been picked up and put in its new space - I say this rather than towed because it was so neatly in between other cars.....All seems in order with it (considering its dark), but I'm finding it hard to believe they wouldn't leave a notice or sign on the windscreen...All a bit strange! Has anyone else experienced similar?
  18. Hello - Am wanting to enquire about hiring the scout hut (or part of it) but having trouble tracking down a phone number or email address. Does anyone have one or know where I may find such? Thanks
