Yes , it is a shame about the sweet shop. I hear that several dry cleaners that have been in our area for many years are shutting.

Has anyone else seen the rats in the alleway behind Underhill Road next to where the new houses are being built? The entrance to this alleway is from Landells Road. The rats have also been seen in the rear gardens of the houses fronting underhill Road.

The traffic lights at the junction of the A205 and Sydenham Hill are on red for so long that every morning there are huge hold-ups of traffic coming down the hill.

Went pass this shop today , not a customer in sight.Their cafe next door was very busy.

No off street parking is being provided for the CPR/Upland Road development.Parking is going to become a nightmare that may "force" the Council into imposing restrictions. -

Planning application has been submitted for the old police station at the junction of CPR and Upland Road for a development of 4 flats and 5 houises. -
Many years ago we had two excellent greengrocers in Lordship Lane .

One of the main problems for traditional shops such as this grocery business is the high rents that are sought by the landlords.Do we know how much they are presently paying?

No mate , just behave a bit more resposibly next time . The local authority provides an excellent service.

The shop will go because of market conditions that have ruthlessly changed the character of East Dulwich from a mixed and multicultural community to its presen state over the last 30 years that I have lived and worked in the area. As regards my comments about dumped rubbish , the comment has not been answered ; did the owner of the rubbish on finding it dumped nearby collect it?

Interesting info about the camera. What did you do with your rubbish that was dumped by the unlicensed collecter that you paid and used?

There have been many good and bad changes in East Dulwich in recent years. It is time for this shop to go.
