  1. I?d struggle to sell my car for >?1k It?s a very basic, run-around car So they can?t be targeting me because of an anti-wealth thing surely?
  2. I own a 2008 nissan qashqai, genuinely had no idea it was considered an SUV or large car. I find it quite a practical size. Anyway, my car was targeted. It is old and tired so I guess due an upgrade but seems wasteful ditching it and getting a new car in lease arrangement set up. Edit to say I also didn?t think it had high emissions and Qualifies under ulez. Seriously confusing. Anyway.
  3. Yes good point, have amended. Thank you
  4. Hello I've not seen my 7yo cat (Lizzy) for a week now. She's incredibly small and often mistaken for a kitten. She's called 'Lizzy' and is a ginger with a white chest, white nose and white paws. Area: I live on pickwick road burbage road side, so anywhere around there. Please call me if you've seen her. Thank you. Pic attached
  5. Another recommendation for Fernando - super lovely guy and fabulous job on the garden. Needed a pre winter cut back of everything and general tidy up. Thanks Fernando :)
  6. That?s how far we are from ND Charter I think last year furthest was 860M which is on their website
  7. They must be smaller - we too have not got a single place and easily would have last year. People lost their jobs or fear of losing jobs re covid so fewer private applications?
  8. Yes Feel like I?m right under it Can?t sleep :(
  9. BIG recommendation for Paul. Quick, efficient, polite and very reasonably price. Thanks Paul and your son.
  10. Another very strong recommendation for Dave, he completed all the jobs i needed doing, and some extras, in a really short time. Very professional, nice guy - highly recommend. Such a relief to find someone good and reliable.
  11. Another strong recommendation for Fede! He's been cutting and highlighting my hair for more than five years. As a single mum it's sooooo much easier having your hair done at home and not wasting half a day at the weekend. Hes a lovely guy to boot and great fun :)
  12. yes i've found quite a bit online now. I'm not worried about it, just want to make sure i'm ready - i think its a case of just more admin but otherwise it's ok. You can use ID until Dec 2020 after which they'll need passports. Then a letter saying you're employing them as and when they cross the boarder post October 31. I'm not sure whether the points system makes a difference to aupairs if they are coming over for a specific job.
  13. Any ideas at all as to how to prepare for no deal brexit and the employment of an aupair? She doesn?t have a passport so is applying for one Will they need a visa? Has anyone looked into this?

  19. Its fine - it's one of those tall thin houses, kitchen (in basement) was broken into. The front door is one level higher and kitchen has two doors backing onto the garden - so all good. Also you couldn't open those windows anyway... Double glazed and fixed, which is why they used glass cutters... edit to say, thanks for the concern
  20. Yeah - they're fine. We got bars fitted that day by Bronzewood metalworks (consort road peckham - big shout out to them for coming out pretty much straight away and putting bars up). Since the bars went in, both parents more relaxed). They've lived there 20 years... first time this has happened.
  21. My parents were burgled last week (New Kent Road). They had double glazed windows which were broken into with glass cutters and then inner glazed sound proofing window was taken off hinges. This happened when they were in bed asleep. They hardly took anything, a mobile and a cheap laptop. Parents are in their late 70s... There's nothing you can do about people this determined imo.
