Yes it's hilarious- if you walk around Dulwich Village and the roads around it at election time all the houses belonging to doctors etc who send their kids to the private schools all have Labour posters in the windows!

Totally unacceptable. My son needs a repeat sick note at the moment and they can't even get that right- the stress it is causing is unbelievable- and he is diagnosed with acute anxiety amongst other things! -

There is a noticeable increase in traffic in Crystal Palace Road now as well-which is supposed to be a cycling quiet way or some such scheme -

The person who took it off me checked with someone out the back. It was new and maybe the person out the back wanted it for themselves!

When people get drunk they get careless (and this pandemic and the restrictions are enough to drive anyone to drink)....maybe they are cutting down the time spent in the pub to that end...but after 10 pm there were plenty of photos of young people queuing up outside corner shops that sell alcohol and most of them stay open half the night anyway....might as well let the pubs stay open imo.

I'd say as the virus is from China it's a bit more than a left-wing plot!

As well as all the non-compliance highlighted on the Supermarket Delivery thread I was not happy to open the door to a Hermes delivery yesterday where she handed me the parcel so was not distancing and had no mask either. Previously any deliveries we have had they rang the bell, put the box on the ground and then moved back and were wearing a mask. Are these people not informed by their employers that the virus is getting out of hand due to the complacency?

I see more action at the bird bath. Robins, tits, blackbirds are regular visitors especially in the hot weather. There are a fair number of cats in my neighbourhood though but I got one with the hose a couple of weeks ago and it hasn't been back

There is one of those Pizzico pinch of salt things on eBay for a mere ?22.39 ...... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alessi-Pizzico-Salt-Castor-Pinch-of-Salt-Dispenser-Black-/112368223761 I suppose if you can't put your forefinger and thumb together you're in trouble when cooking

I had a visit from someone sent by Southwark Council- a contractor who needed to come into my house- I had to actually ask the person to put on a mask...

That's caused by a common cold or flu virus .....nasal drip leads to a cough

I think we all found out who the nutjobs and lunatics are after the milkshake was thrown at Nigel Farage and Jo Brand said it should have been acid. And when Boris got coronavirus and another second rate comedienne Miriam Margolyes said she wished he would die..... Still, it's nice to know what these fools really think!

Yes because they know that no matter what they do in Southwark they will still vote the lot of them in!

As far as I'm concerned section 28...where schools were not allowed to 'promote' homosexuality...is the same as saying 'promote' a Christian lifestyle... ".... a local authority "shall not intentionally promote homosexuality or publish material with the intention of promoting homosexuality" or "promote the teaching in any maintained school of the acceptability of homosexuality as a pretended family relationship"....

I was in the Post Office and there are signs up everywhere saying to wear a mask in the post office and to social distance. A young woman walked in behind me and had no face mask on and I don't think she would have stopped walking if I hadn't looked at her. She had no exemption badge on so I asked her if she was exempt and pointed to the signs on the wall...she just shrugged! Then I went to Sainsbury's and spotted quite a few people not wearing a mask but there were more wearing them than not wearing them... I feel sorry for the staff in these places- they are relying on us being caring and it is obvious that there are a few who couldn't care less!

I find it very worrying that 66,000 have signed a petition supporting it..... It says 'The charity?s registered statement of objectives says it exists ?for the purpose of empowering individuals and churches to make, and to promote, lifestyle choices consistent with Christian living?.' To promote no less....reminds me of the Section 28 debacle!

On Transport alone he is an abject failure. TfL was in debt before the Covid and then he allowed free fares (even though it's all contactless anyway!)...what an idiot. Now he wants another ?5 billion from central government. Not to mention the traffic chaos now. The Communities secretary should take over and Khan should step down . And JohnL wants him to have MORE powers..... He proved what a puerile idiot he is WITH the Trump thing- he was an embarrassment of the highest order.

In a closed space the other key thing is ventilation. If we are all wearing warm outdoor clothing on the bus then the windows should be open. Also virus particles will be on the hand rails and the seats so people should be educated NOT to touch anything they do not need to. Bus drivers should be instructed to be more patient about stopping and starting at the bus stops so that people can get off and on without having to lunge for a pole.
