To celebrate the fact that The East Dulwich Academy of Music and Performing Arts will be 3 years old in January, we are expanding our music ensembles, drama and dance classes with a special New Year offer of the first week free! The Academy is based at Goose Green Primary School and classes are open to all local children aged 4-16, with music and drama on a Saturday morning and dance on a Wednesday after school. We offer expert, fun and friendly instrumental and theory tuition and our tutors are highly skilled professional performers and teachers who are passionate about educating the musicians of the future. We have a range of ensemble groups, currently comprising a wind band, brass ensemble, string ensemble, percussion group and ukulele & guitar ensemble. If acting is your thing, you can be part of a working theatre company, creating and rehearsing brand new shows to perform. We?ll combine scripted work with improvisation, exploring lots of different theatre forms and styles. Termly masterclasses and workshops from some of London?s leading theatre actors combined with dynamic weekly teaching from experienced professional educators culminate in fantastic performances for everyone involved! We offer a variety of music classes for children aged between 4 and 16 years old including individual instrumental lessons with a fully DBS checked tutor. We have Drama tuition for children aged between 7 and 16 and work towards LAMDA qualifications. Children can take their exams at the school, as we are now a recognised LAMDA examination centre. New for September we have a range of Dance classes for children 6 and upward. Children can study ballet, tap, jazz and modern while working towards RAD grades. Good afternoon from us all at East Dulwich Academy of Music and Performing Arts. After a fantastic first half term of acting, music making and fun we are pleased to announce that we are opening more spaces for both music and drama classes. We will be shortly updating our website to include these new spaces. The places available are for children aged between 7 and 13. We are also taking bookings for our Mini Maestros classes for children aged between 4 and 6. In these classes children can learn keyboard, recorder and ukelele as well as experience rhythm work, group singing and take their first steps into performing.
