  1. Hi We are relocating to Kent (although the Flavour Kitchen will of course still remain a South-East London based business) and I have a small mountain of St Anthony's Primary school jumpers, ties etc (ages 4/5 to 8 years). Boys being boys they do have some wear and tear but they are going free if anyone is interested. We are actually moving tomorrow - so ideally a collection at some point tomorrow up to midday would be great. If not, I could arrange a drop-off of items in mid August when I am back at work. Please PM me if interested. Sinead
  2. I have 3 young boys - all mad about football and we have tried a few football clubs in the Dulwich area. All of them are great - but I really, really recommend APD run by James Mullane and his fantastic team of incredibly enthusiastic coaches at Dulwich College sports club every Friday from 6.30 to 8.00pm. James is incredibly passionate about football and is a complete natural with coaching children. He also coaches some of the youth teams at Millwall (as well as running after-school football clubs). The astro turf and facilities at Dulwich College are first class and match the coaching provided by APD. It works on a drop-in pay-as-you basis or you can also pay by term - so super flexible. If you have football keen boys or girls, you should really try it out. http://www.advanceplayerdevelopment.com/apd-centres.html
  3. Hi Morasmum I would try aupair world website as we found our absolutely fabulous au pair through it. Depending on how old your children are, I would definitely specify an older aupair and also do interviews through Skype. I believe aupair rates start around ?100.00 pw for 20 hours but we pay a lot more than that as ours works full-time and is basically a live-in nanny given the amount of responsibility she has. Best wishes
  4. I really would go to A and E for a scan. My husband was misdiagnosed with his first DVT and in all three of them he didn't have any swelling. They should see you quickly.
  5. I really recommend you get it checked out at Kings AE ASAP (no need to go via GP). My husband has had 3 DVTs (the first one turned into a Pulmonary Embolism and was the result of a short flight from Ireland) and for each one the symptoms were just a dull pain in various parts of his leg (including the upper thigh), although I think he was limping with one of them too. Kings scan you very quickly and if a clot is found will start you on a course of heparin immediately to break the clot down before it can travel further in your body. It was all very straightforward treatment but it is important you get a diagnosis and treatment as quickly as possible if there is a clot.
  6. Huggers and her friend very kindly took some off me so my little bread mountain has shrunk a bit. Alas I have no freezer space at the moment and no time to make bread and butter pudding either - but thank you for the suggestions!
  7. Sadly the foodbank doesnt take bread. I will try the refuge place. Unfortunately, I am also really busy today with jobs so sadly cant make lots of small bread roll deliveries. Ideally looking for a good home for all or most of them!
  8. Just thought some more about this - does anyone know if there is a foodbank in ED which would be interested in them?
  9. Hi all My bread supplier over supplied me with lovely Bread Factory crusty rolls today and I have about 40 left over if anyone is interested in taking all or some of these free of charge? I would hate to throw them out but couldnt possibly eat them all myself :) They are quite large but really delicious and fresh. I am out and about today so I can deliver if you are within the Lordship lane area. Pls call or text on 07766820696. Sinead
