  1. What happened to the marble fountain though? Do we know who demolished it yet?
  2. Pavement cleaning of leaves took place yesterday in Court Lane! They were even removing all of the unsightly weeds from kerbs as well. None of the main roads have been cleared yet.
  3. I heard it was demolished by the council to create an LTN similar to that on Dulwich Village!
  4. Dulwich Junction is a nightmare at the moment, The latest trick of some cyclists is to cycle on pavement outside burial ground on Dulwich Village to avoid waiting at the lights. I was nearly flattened by an electric bike there today on the pavement.
  5. Very sad to hear this, wishing the child well.
  6. I didn't bother reading any further after this He’d show me newspaper clippings from the war, describing how his unsuspecting pre-fab had survived the bombs dropped only inches away.
  7. So what, it's a discussion board.....................................
  8. Yes there is normally a procession in Dulwich Village on Christmas Eve from St Barnabas Church and back, sometimes with camels and a donkey.
  9. Yes, I understood that to be the case as well. The 24 and 48 hour tracked are always delivered on time. Sorting office is Highshore Road, Peckham.
  10. Yes, I had to tell a cargo cyclist from Hugo's Eco Delivery to get off that path yesterday. He was taking up the whole width of the path whilst pedestrians waited at other end for him, unbelievable.
  11. We haven't had any letters for weeks, we still receive some parcels. I am sick of it and don't have the energy to start another complaints process, it's a waste of time. A single First class stamp has gone up by 30p this week to £1.65, what a joke.
  12. Because so many cyclists ride on the pavement.
  13. Dulwich Junction is a nightmare at the moment for pedestrians. There is a temporary cycle lane that cuts through from Carlton Ave and over the crossroad to Turney, As a pedestrian walking from one side of Dulwich Village to the other there is no indication that you are walking across a cycle lane. It's an accident waiting to happen. Whilst these works are going on I think it should be pedestrians only.
  14. They didn't, it was still being used by cars in the 80s.
  15. There is a gas leak on East Dulwich Grove again, same place as always outside JAGS. Once that is repaired there will be a water leak and so it goes on......................
  16. Target's, they weren't replicas! The other side of the road to Head's the butchers, close to where Austin's was.
  17. No it didn't, but it was true at the time!
  18. The itemised bill is probably for the entire estate rather an individual flat, You would need to look at the invoice for the property.
  19. Is the person in the photo delivering or receiving the parcels?
  20. And all those 2-3 minute diversions for every vehicle adds to the pollution!
  21. Not used for a teenager, but I go there and they are excellent. My dentist is Daniel, his wife Niki is great too. Why not make an appointment with them for your teenager and see how they get on, they are very gentle in my opinion?
  22. "Let 'em in" Wings!
  23. The only people that sat on those awful seats at DV junction were workmen stopping to have a fag. Once it is tarted up, who on earth would want to sit there breathing in fumes from the all the vehicles that are now forced onto Dulwich Village? There are so many green areas to sit, such as Dulwich Park, Belair, Dulwich Picture Gallery etc
  24. The one in Nunhead Lane may do?
  25. I think you will find I was not wrong about the LTN being an issue for Harold George. If you think the LTN's are not an issue for the shops in DV ask in the Post Office, the Chemist, the Art shop, the Bookshop and the Dry Cleaners as well.
