  1. As below EDOldie...nuff said :)) Administrator Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The discussion goes off topic and it is no longer > East Dulwich specific. 2. Yayyyyyyyyy i`m so happy about this!! This thread has been lounged..how do you feel now JR? hahahahahahaha
  3. Shan`t, won`t, can`t make me!! JR has been keeping me very amused..and that is what they are here for so i`ll keep going as long as they do :))
  4. What`s happened JR..no witty reply?? Sound to me like you`re not playing anymore and taken your ball home in a sulk ;-)
  5. Haha thanks for that Asset...many trees and greenery in North London..Regents Park ,Hampstead, Finsbury Park to name a few. Will miss being kept quite so amused and entertainwd by postings on here though;-)
  6. You are keeping very very entertained here thankyou...hmmm lets see..now where did i mention immigrants? Can`t remember doing so but as you mention it no i wouldn`t use that line about immigrants. My better half is Vietnamese, my kung fu teacher is Chinese, many of my colleagues are from varied nations...and being a mongrel nation we`ve all got immigrant blood somewhere so please don`t try that one on me because it shows lack of intelligence and a leaning to not knowing how to argue you`re point intelligently...a trait you`ve shown from the start may i add. Keep `em coming JR but make it intelligent please.
  7. I`m loving it...keeping me very entertained in my few remaining days in ED...thankyou :))
  8. JR you don`t half chat some rubbish! Of course trees were there first...just tell us your real issue rather than chatting rubbish about trees..surely you can blame the woman with a sprained ankle for wearing high heels by using same thread of thought...did you report it special branch??
  9. I`ve been asking same question as have others and still no answer!! I still say its JR harumphing at having planning application turned down due to local residents opposition to said plan!
  10. Someone obviously isn`t keeping abreast of proposed plans for docklands JR...check proposals for large green spaces and trees for the area and then come back to me on this one. For gawds sake JR get a chainsaw and sort the dang overhanging branch..if its in your property boundary then you are fully entitled! Is that really what incensed you to write a letter to the Bo? Fiddlesticks, tommyrot and rubbish...think you`ll find the local council is a labour seat isn`t it..so write to Labour local council about paving slabs becoming uprooted by tree roots and sure they`ll do something about..can`t imagine they`d ignore your plea...not!!
  11. Tsk tsk Bob...i was agreeing all the way with you right up to the point of Luton!! I myself am a newlywed to be and no way is Luton a favourable place for anyone...especially if you work in docklands area like my other half does!Bring on the housing price spiral and a favourable mortgage advisor i say!! How about we use same ethos and pack all oldies, and ne`r do wells who take up properties that could be used for a better purpose to Luton instead!!Pah and double pah!!
  12. er you can`t be too vicious with the arborally challenged...although i think a care in the community sticker might be needed for JR shortly ;) The long and short of it seems that JR is annoyed the planning permission for some houses got rejected due to locals saying no thanks we`d rather have the trees...if i`m wrong JR then please correct me..the rest is completely irrelevent it seems
  13. Maybe Jah, maybe ;-)
  14. I know what you are saying makes sense EDOldie and i am merely baiting the original perp for not expressing their true agenda in this matter ie possible planning application failure due to meddling by locals (see earlier posting by originator). I`ve sat watching this forum for past 6 months with much enjoyment at many of the postings and their scribes and it will be something i miss when i move back north of the river next month. SW
  15. Surely urban environment is misplaced amongst the trees, not other way round..can`t wait to see your letter to Boris..might see if any tv production companies are looking for new comedy material :))
  16. But still no word on what planning proposal you mentioned...you`re a nutter no doubt about it! Still, good luck with your letter to Boris..sure it`ll make a good fire lighter ya nutbag!!
  17. I concur...t-wats damage the ozone and make the life of mobility challenged people hell from being knocked off their scooters with their overgrown feet! I feel the only way is to have more buildings to house them in...i don`t know..maybe like a zoo!
  18. Of course it`s a silly posting jrussel...a mirror image of your original nonsense as i really can`t take your proposterous idea seriously. As LuvPeckham suggests...get a life i implore you!!
  19. Hmmm Venice..not the most shining of examples...a city held up by ballasts out at sea and one of the worst sewage systems this side of a cracked Thames water main! Again i say cull people..surely thats the best prevention!!
  20. If you can cull trees then hypothetically i should be allowed to cull people too..fairs fair when we all use the resources of the planet. A short trip to Japan and a quick chat with the G8 will sort it out perhaps?? Nonsense speak!!! Denser cities?? What on earth are you talking about? There should be more trees and less people, more resources and it should be shared equally amongst the species not kept for the `priveleged` nations. Perhaps we should have thought of all this a long time ago when it was brought to our collective attentions perhaps?
  21. Please tell me this isn`t a serious posting....too many trees???? Can understand maintenance of trees and their leaves etc causing a problem for mobility challenged individuals, which is of course down to council but surely there are too many people not too many trees...if you cull trees then cull people who use the bi products of green things ie oxygen!!
  22. The construction work starts some days at about 7.30...glad i have a day job in town haha...although they did build a nice new wall for all properties who back onto the site, so swings and roundabouts i guess. We are about to move out of ED end of next month so maybe when we visit again at some point it will all be shiny and brand spanky new and complete :)
