  1. It's a miracle. See top of thread...
  2. Thanks Denfra - sadly not Leo. Leo is an older cat (12 years) and has limited movement - he cannot jump as he has arthritis in his back legs. Really appreciate the message though and if anyone else thinks they have seen him please let me know even if you are not certain. I know he is out there somewhere lost and will keep searching for him.
  3. STILL MISSING... It's now 14 days since Leo went missing and I wanted to say a huge Thank You to everyone who has contacted me with sightings. Please keep them coming - even if you are not certain its him, it may be the other missing cat called Cheetah. Look out for those big fat cheeks :-)
  4. Thanks - but unfortunately I think too young if it was him. He may have gone before we got there however so please let me know if you see him again. Huge cheeks and quite old but a thin body. Possibly limping
  5. Hi everyone - I have just had a possible sighting of Leo on Danby Street. If you live there or are walking along that road please keep an eye out for him. I am trying to get there now. Thanks
  6. Hi everyone - the search continues today. You may see posters around and any potential sightings please contact me. I?m getting very concerned now as he is not very mobile anymore. Please keep an eye out for him. If you are not sure please let me know anyway and I can go take a look (take a picture if you can) Thanks again. Jo
  7. We are still out looking for Leo. If anyone spots him (see pictures) please let us know. We are concerned that his health is deteriorating and he may have trouble walking with an injured paw. You can call 07780 475540 any time. Thanks everyone.
  8. No - he is a grey/black tabby. I will try again to put a picture up
  9. This morning we heard the cat flap go and in walked Leo after six weeks and two days!!! Unharmed, uninjured and after three full bowls of cat food in one sitting - very happy and purring. It is the best early Christmas present ever. We have no idea where he has been, but want to thank everyone who helped us look for him. We are looking for Leo. He lives on Bellenden Road but could have got lost and strayed further. He does not have a collar and has a distinctive cut on either ear. He also has huge large cheeks. He is male Tabby. 11. He's back after five days in the Dulwich wilderness!
  12. I have been missing since Wednesday, but just arrived home safe. I'm rather thin so must have been trapped somewhere. Thank you everyone for keeping an eye out for me.

    Shutters - why?

Interesting you should post this as I would like a recommendation if anyone has had them fitted as to who they used/who is best & approx cost for a standard Victorian bay window? Thanks

  19. Hi I just wanted to reply so that people can see this is still an issue. Can cat lovers local to the areas posted get in touch to try and solve this problem. Thanks again B
  20. Hi e.d I just want to ask if anyone is having a problem on Bellenden road with their cats being viciously attacked. my cat has been roaming around the gardens for years and has had the odd scrape, but in the last six months it seems to be getting worse. The last two weeks have seen his face ripped to shreds and I am having to keep him in which is driving Him insane, and v upsetting. I have seen a large ginger cat attack him and have heard that people on Ivanhoe road are having the same problem. Do you or anyone you know own a large ginger un neutered Tom if so pls get in touch as he is out of control and I'm pretty sure he is the culprit. This may sound funny to people who are not cat owners but its a real problem, for me and other local feline lovers. Any help and advice would be really appreciated as I don't know how much longer I can keep my cat in. Thanks B
  21. Hi Lisa - I have written a post above as I am really worried for the safety of my cat and have had to lock him in as he has been so ficiously attacked I am worried for his life (he has now almost lost his eyes and his face is ripped to shreds). I hope you dont mind me contacting you but I wondered whether you were any further forward with catching the stray or if you had any advice for me? I've not had a problem like this before and other than locking my cat in I'm not sure what else to do? As I work during the day (when the attacks happen) I am not able to go out looking, but would be happy to help in the evenings - although not sure how it would be possible to track this cat down? Thanks, Jo
  22. Hi Annacecilia - my male cat has been viciously attacked for the past week and I'm not certain if it is the same cat, but as he has never had any problems before I imagine it is. I live on Bellenden Road and would be happy to try to help in any way I can. For now I am going to have to keep him locked in as his face is completely slashed and bleeding. Have you made contact with Lisa at Bowwowmiaow yet? Hope we can get this sorted, I'm frightened for his life.
  23. Hi Monica Do you require any volunteers at all? I am competing my level 2 apprenticeship at charity Trees For Cities and have Fridays and some weekends free. Would really like to get involved in community projects In the E.D area and meet green fingered locals and network for future job opportunities. Thanks Lyndsey
  24. Hi ED Just been into The Cherry Tree for their ?5 burger deal. I have to say it was incredible, much better than any other burger we have tasted. Tender beef topped with Applewood Cheese (or Stilton), smoked bacon, fresh tomato, salad and gherkins all packed into a fresh white burger roll with chunky chips... and all for a fiver!!!! The deal applies Monday to Wed so do yourselves a favour and try it. The new owners Chris & Antonia have really turned this pub around and are pulling out all the stops to ensure The (old) Vale is but a distant memory...thankfully. We were in there tonight (a Tuesday) and almost every table was taken with had plates of burgers being served left, right and centre. The ED community loves to support local business and this is certainly worthy of that. The more of you who try it out the better the, already improved, atmosphere will become. Go and check it out & say hello to Chris & Antonia - you won't be disappointed. Jo & Lynds
  25. Hi ED I have run out of green food waste bags - does anyone know how I can get some more? I have been on the Southwark Council website, but it is not clear as to how I go about this. Many thanks.
