  1. Hi everyone, I've been looking for inspiration to brighten up my baby's nursery as I've found a lot of the furniture on offer is very neutral and I live in a rented place so can't do anything to the walls! Yesterday my print designer friend came round and painted the ends of her cot bed which looks amazing! I've posted about her in the classifieds section as she is available for commissions (annahita@cl-am.com). I'll post some photos below. Has anyone else done any nursery upcycling or got any good decorating ideas? X
  2. Thanks everyone! I'm going to give it a week and see what happens. I really don't think that I could not react as it was a reflex scream! Fingers crossed she gets bored of this new game!
  3. Hi, my baby has just got her two bottom teeth through last week. The first week of breastfeeding was fine but today she really bit me a few times this morning. I literally screamed which made her laugh and then she did it again. Does anyone know if there's anything you can do to stop it happening, or is it maybe because she's not used to the teeth and so will stop very soon (she says hopefully)? Otherwise I think this is the beginning of the end of my breastfeeding time! Thanks!
  4. This week will be our 20th baby sensory session! I really love the activities and all the thought that goes into making it so stimulating for babies. I also love looking at their little faces when they all sit quietly listening to and watching chee at the front! I would definitely recommend this class for mums looking for group to take their baby to and they get so much more out of it than the usual drop in baby groups!
  5. Hi, my mum owns a really sweet fisherman's cottage in Broadstairs which is not too far away. The only problem is that it is rented out for holiday rentals over the summer. If you have any flexibility with dates and are interested in more details then PM me!
  6. Hi everyone, I thought I'd just share the good experience I had at a recent baby massage course. Me and some of the people that I did an NCT course with got together a booked our NCT teacher Annie to run 5 sessions of baby massage training. Each week we learnt a different part of the body and kept building up the routine. It worked really well to do it with people that I knew because when the babies got bored or frustrated it wasn't stressful and Annie's style is very baby led. I just thought I'd share as there are a lot of baby massage courses around but I thought this was an especially good way to do it. Also Annie is very lovely and a great teacher so I wanted to give her a bit of a plug! She works freelance for baby massage and also runs NCT pre-natal courses in the New Cross area. Her email is annie@wasdell.com
  7. Hi, i'm looking for the same thing! Although more towards Nunhead area (still SE15). I don't need the childcare until I go back to work in September, it seems that you have to book nursery places now but is it the same for childminders? Or am I too early? Any local recommendations would be great :-)
  8. Thanks everyone, I'll give her a try!
  9. Thanks, I've just read the Brazilian blow dry post and she seems very popular! Let me know how you get on Thanks!
  10. Hi I've got an 8 week old baby and am wondering how I'm going to cover up my roots and get my hair highlighted! Does anyone have a recommendation for a good baby friendly mobile hairdresser? Thanks! :-) Kate
