Meet your schnauzer to check for allergic reaction
j-mo posted a topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi - we would very much like to get a mini schnauzer addition to the family but my husband can be allergic to dogs, even ones that are hypoallergenic. I?m looking for a schnauzer we could meet in the park so we can see what happens when he spend time with one before we get too far into the buying process. Do you have one? Could we meet?! Thanks! Hi - I posted last time someone asked about this to say that I've got two children there and we love it, as do all of the other parents in both years. More than happy to answer any specific questions you might have. My oldest son is now completing Yr 2 (the end of the Villa) and heading off to Dulwich College. The other destinations from his year are Dulwich Prep London, JAPS, one to a private school out of the area, and others to state schools. We've been really well supported through that process. The staff are great and my kids are happy, and that is the main thing!!! J-Mo

Hi - we?ve got 2 children there who?ve both been there since they were 2. They are now both in the school. We love it and I think the nursery is especially good. My eldest was somewhere else before and the Villa is way better. Great outdoor space, great staff. Highly recommended.

And I have a Spanish one. I'll ask her if she's keen.

We paid ?10ph for when she looked after children from one family, and ?11.50ph when nanny share. All net. I think ?10 seems pretty standard but I have seen people paying ?12.

j-mo replied to j-mo's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Ah hello Piaf my friend Ive seen the one option in Biffs. They are the only ones I can find and they are a bit clumpy for my liking. I think I'm mainly just cross at not having a choice and having to buy that one pair. Xxxxx Hope holiday is getting better after sicky journey Xxxx -

King's college hospital - birth registration
j-mo replied to Love_London's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I gave birth twice at Kings and registered both at Camberwell. No need to go anywhere else. Rang for an appointment. Think it took a while to get in though. At least a few weeks. -
I work at UCL and it's very family friendly. Most recruiting managers will consider part-time for all jobs if they can. We are just about to recruit a talent manager in my office. Won't be ready to advertise for a month or so but I can let you know once it's out if you're still looking. J-mo

My son is starting at the Villa School in September and I'm struggling to find any suitable* navy school shoes (*that don't look clumpy and old-fashioned). The guidelines say 'no trainers or lace ups' but I'm not sure how strict they are about what classifies as a trainer. I would love to hear from any other parents who have found something that looks nice and doesn't fall apart after a term. Thanks J-mo

There is also Sydenham woods which is great if your children are walking. You can get in from a path opposite that boarded up pub on lordship lane just before the horniman. Think the path is called cox's walk...?

New Dulwich school on Bellenden Rd, GIVEN PERMISSION
j-mo replied to James Barber's topic in The Family Room Discussion
There was a tweet on 12 may that said decisions had been delayed until early June -
How about berkhamsted? It's our intended next stop as our families are in the midlands so kent takes us further away. Pretty pricey though and when we tried to move there a few years ago we gave up in the end as houses were at such a premium the agents weren't even doing viewings unless you'd already sold your own house. Which we hadn't. Still it's a lovely small town with quick train into Euston. Good schools too.

Wow! I want to go to country kids. I just need a quick remortgage first.... It looks amazing! Especially the Friday 7am pyjama party so you can have a lie in. YES please :)
