Did anyone else hear a strange rumbling sound Sunday 13th 1.45am? I went into my garden for a cigarette when I suddenly started to hear a loud rumbling noise. I thought it was thunder but it went on for approximately 2-3mins and there was no lightning. The sound then started to become slowly less but sounded more like it was moving away with whatever was causing it. It did not sound like a plane and the pitch did not change it was more constant except it faded. It was definitely coming from the sky. Once it stopped there were no other noises or anything to suggest it was weather related. I initially thought it was going to pour down rain with that sound but nothing. The only thing that I can think of that would make that sound would be an aircraft decelerating through orbit but I doubt it. Just wondering if anyone else heard the noise or may know what caused the sound?
