I spent a lot of time searching the forum looking for recomended builders I thought I should post my own recomendation. Prestige Build & Management Ltd recently completed a major renovation/reconfiguration of our flat in East Dulwich. When embarking on the project I was very apprehensive of any builders due to various negative stories and watching to many episodes of Cowboy Builders on TV! Although we received a number of recommendations from previous clients we were still apprehensive due to the scale and complexity of the proposed work. The final outcome of the project has exceeded our expectations and has provided us with an amazing living space while at the same time adding value to the property. Due to the nature of the old Victorian flat there were a number of issues that arose during the demolition phase which we hadn?t accounted for but the team were really helpful in fixing these issues ensuring everything was completed to the best standard possible. Jay and his team felt like a really good down to earth team to work with which allowed a really good working relationship to develop and allowed useful discussions at the weekly site meetings with the Jay and the site manager. The builders were also very considerate of our neighbours during the build which was a concern for us and as my wife was pregnant during the project they always made sure she was ok when visiting the site or during meetings. Working as a professional engineer I was very impressed at the quality and design of the mechanical and electrical systems which were undertaken by the Prestige team. The have used high quality products and materials throughout which has really given the flat a high quality finish. Prestige were also very flexible with any changes during the build and in many cases helped to make decisions on configuration and layout using there experience of other projects to allow the best use of space. Many of the initiatives proposed by the team went beyond what we had originally considered which in many cases involved more work. Considering many of these decisions were at the cost of the builder it just shows there attitude and commitment to a high quality finish. If you want a quick cheap project then they might not be the most suitable but if you want a high quality finish with a great working relationship then I would defiantly recommend them.
