  1. Eduardo Antonio, born yesterday 4am at Kings 4 hours after arrival there. 8lb 7oz. Back home yesterday and feeling very chilled as so far he is a big sleeper!
  2. Yes, my daughter goes to that nursery - it's excellent. Here's the website Italian Day Nursery
  3. Just checked my notes and the midwife listened for heartbeat at the 16 week appt.
  4. I would definitely ask for a seat if nobody gave theirs up for me - but luckily I have always experienced people leaping up immediately and offering me a place - my bump is so enormous you really can't ignore it!
  5. Fantastic -sounds great - my daughter is 3.5 years old and english/italian - currently reluctant to speak italian although she understands it well and goes to an italian nursery school 3 days a week. I would love to encourage her italian so we will come along on Tuesday (I am english and her dad italian, but i speak fluent italian) Molly edited to add that I really wasn't thinking when I replied and my second baby is due next tuesday, but if he/she hasn't come by then we will still try to come!
  6. Congratulations Peppa, and lovely name you've chosen. Can I second the request for a pic if you want to share? x
  7. There should be plenty of blackberries along Greendale
  8. Great! Look forward to it (unless baby decides to make an early appearance...)
  9. Hi, I am interested if I can manage to sort babysitting as my partner works evenings in the week. If possible, Sunday evening would be loads better for me. Thanks for setting this up!
  10. pink = girl, blue = boy, yellow = don't know yet!
  11. What about a massage with aloued, who is local and advertises on this forum and is brilliant, then lunch in town with a friend followed by a look round the shops. Or you could start with the shops, then lunch, then massage? That's what I would do!
  12. Pretty Pregnant on Northcross road have some nice maternity leggings but they're quite pricey. Otherwise maternity depts of Top Shop Oxford Circus and H&M on Regent Street are good.
  13. Hi Susan I have a Jojomamanbebe turquoise floral print tankini size M (generous, would def fit 12-14) you are welcome to in exchange for a bottle of prosecco - PM me if you're interested
  14. Put baby down in cot awake - don't let them fall asleep on the boob and then put them down to sleep - that's what I'll be attempting to do differently this time around!
  15. I too am 35 weeks and feel like i have reached the end of the line - same complaints as millsa, plus I am starting to get that heavy, pulling down feeling already. I'm really hoping the baby might come early! Looking forward to a good moan on sunday too x
  16. Just checking we are still meeting today 11.00/11.30 outside cafe at Peckham Rye - weather not so great, but I guess we can sit in the cafe? I've not been before - does it have a play area for kids like the one in Dulwich Park?
  17. There is a meet up planned for those with existing kids on sat 7 august - see other thread, but I don't see why we can't also have a meet up without kids on the sunday at caffe nero, guess it depends on how first time mums feel about meeting with lots of toddlers/kids around!
  18. Yes, where woolworths used to be. It's great - especially if you go first thing when it opens in the morning
  19. Thanks everyone for your replies. I think leggings and dresses/floaty tops are the way to go. I will check out the dresses in celestial and alethea, I have PMed you, thank you. I did look in Jojo but their clothes are pretty useless if you are tall (tops end mid belly for me!). I will also make a trip to the fab new H&M in Brixton to see if they have anything that will work.
  20. I've used Greyhound cars for work a lot and they are very good and reliable. I think they are based in Streatham but they cover the whole of south east london. Their number is 020 8696 5360
  21. Just wondering if any of you have advice about what to wear for those final weeks of pregnancy when you start to get really massive. First pregnancy I only got big right at the end and it was the winter, so I don't have anything from then that I can wear now. I am 33.5 weeks and have already grown out of a lot of the maternity clothes I bought this time! I find that under the bump trousers just fall down, tops don't cover enough bump, the only comfy things are leggings/tracky bottoms and stretchy dresses. Any advice on good places to look for nice cheap things, or does anyone have some size 12/14 stuff they no longer need and want to sell/pass on?
  22. I found pure vitamin e oil excellent for cracked/sore nipples when I started breastfeeding. You can get it from most chemists/ health food shops, and you don't need to wash it off before feeding.
