  1. Glad to see all the BB love. Just into Season 5 now. When that ends I'm going to start from the beginning again. Skylar - scary lady - I would just say under a hell of a lot of stress. As for scary, What about Walt??? And Jesse - so would
  2. I would lift her asleep and put her on potty. I did this with my daugher and it worked well but she was 4 at the time not 18 months!
  3. No I won't. I can't even bring myself to watch/read the news coverage
  4. I got the britax kidfix one as it was a Which? best buy - you need to have isofix points in your car for it to work securely though
  5. I wouldn't worry about it - she's only 14 months. My daughter carried on having milk from a bottle until she was around 4, then stopped and now drinks milk from a cup at school but not really otherwise. My 2 year old is still an enthusiastic milk from bottle consumer.
  6. When I had to give my daughter eye drops when she was smaller I did it when she was asleep (she was almost 3 at the time). When younger and I was still bfeeding I just squirted a bit of breastmilk in her eye and that seemed to do the trick!
  7. You can't go wrong with nice lip balm or hand cream
  8. Try and do it gradually. With my almost 2 year old son I cut out feeds during the day first, then stopped night time feeds so we were down to morning and evening only, then just bedtime, then stopped all together. It was a slow gradual process. Did it more suddenly with my first and it was painful - I wouldn't recommend! My son didn't embrace the bottle until I had stopped breastfeeding completely. Now he consumes unbelievable quantities of cows milk. He does still have to fiddle with my nipples to get to sleep though!
  9. Hello! What size are her feet? I have some size 9 and size 10 ballet shoes going spare.
  10. I'd go for a soft structured carrier like an ergo, manduco or beco gemini. They are pricey new but you should be able to find one second hand. By far the most comfortable for bigger babies
  11. I knew it! Hope the antibiotics get to work quickly. My son wasn't given dressings, but the lesions should clear up pretty quickly with the antibiotics - do make sure she finishes the course - I ended up having to give my son a second course as we didn't quite finish the first (it was such a pain getting him to take them as they tasted foul and I thought he was better). And I'm sure the docs told you to be careful about bathtime with siblings, not sharing towels etc.
  12. Book tokens for the older ones? My 5 year old daughter loved going to the bookshop and getting to choose her own book. Something completely different, but this gets played with a lot by my 2 and 5 year old http://www.maudesport.com/rody_riders-gymnic-161370-26048 (Rody Horse). They do a bigger version which costs more but would probably suit the age range of the kids you are buying for. I think it's called the Rody Max
  13. Could it be impetigo? That is very infectious and sounds like the symptoms you are describing. My son had impetigo all over his stomach and chest - looked terrible but cleared up after a course of antibiotics. What did your GP say?
  14. Baby Jogger City Mini - I love mine so much. Wins hands down over Maclarens, but I've never tried a bugaboo
  15. My daughter has a haemangioma under her eye and was referred to the specialist clinic at Great Ormond St after being seen at Kings. They are very good, though their policy is usually watch and wait. Hers is still visible age 5 but has reduced in size considerably and hopefully will disappear by the time she is 7. Do PM if you want any more info
  16. I have a couple of red check dresses that are too small for my daughter now (they are Sainsburys age 5). PM me if you'd like them. As Laurac says, anything red, grey or white is fine. Shoes can be black, brown, navy or red. My daughter never wants to wear the logo sweathsirts and t-shirts I got as she prefers to be more girly!
  17. Esme - do you mean a THomas the tank engine potty chair? That sounds like it would be very appealing to my little one! Whereabouts did you get it?
  18. Keep it very small with just close friends/family. Balloons, cake, 1.5 hours max.
  19. Radnrach - I have the same situation with 22 month old. At least he recovers and stops screaming as soon as I stop and seems to forget about the traua almost immediately!
  20. Maybe look into some storage solutions for clothes and toys? The ikea trofast toy storage is brilliant and really helped me sort out my living room and daughter's bedroom. Also it sounds like you need to find a better cleaner! I have one who is amazing and lovely - she comes to me once a week and tidies, cleans and does the ironing. She is looking for more work on Wednesdays and Friday afternoons. PM me if you'd like her details
  21. I had a playpen for my daughter when we were living in Italy that was similar to a travel cot but a square shape (metal frame, mesh sides, padded base) that worked well, but she was not a big climber or particularly strong. Or you could just use a travel cot if it is for short periods of time.
  22. My 5 year old daughter also loves the Magic Faraway tree books, also the Worst Witch books by Jill Murphy are great.
  23. Just checking, having had a look online, do you mean the Baby Bjorn potty chair or just the potty?
