  1. Have a look on http://www.spareroom.co.uk - you could also try the residential section on this forum.
  2. Second the hippy chick mattress protectors. You can get them on amazon
  3. You can usually get honey from my dad's hives at the Cheese Block
  4. Wash in bio detergent and then hang them out in this sunshine for as long as possible!
  5. fish them out with a wire coathanger - worked for me in the past!
  6. Generally during the holidays it's open all day. I'm sure if you contact them they can give you the summer timetable
  7. You can join Jags Sports Club - I think it's around ?40 a month - but the pool is not open during school hours - so early morning or after 4.30pm in the week http://www.jagssportsclub.co.uk/membership/ http://www.jagssportsclub.co.uk/swimming-timetable/ I think it's a lovely pool
  8. I have one brother who is 2.5 years older than me and we have always had a very happy peaceful relationship. I have a girl and a boy - 3.5 years between them - and they adore each other, it is lovely to watch. My daughter looks out for her little brother and is usually very sweet with him, although of course they do have their moments of bickering. When my daughter is not around (with friends on playdates/at after school activities etc) my son will usually say in a pained voice "where is my Greta". Good luck with the impending birth and I'm sure it will be fine for you xx
  9. I would probably go to Herne Hill, then Milkwood Road, Loughborough Road, Akerman Road, Mostyn Road, across Brixton Road to Lorn Road, Stockwell Park Road, a v short stretch of Clapham Road, then left onto Albert Sq and wiggle your way over to Fentiman Road then you're pretty much there - do you mean Vauxhall station or just the area? Hope that helps
  10. I'd be interested too. Did a search on the forum but nothing came up
  11. The holiday courses at JAGS sports club are good - can't see the full details on their website so best to phone them 8603 6500 for details
  12. I like Petasil and Ricosta - they are not cheap though. Biff stock them and you can find some styles in their sale when it's on. I find converse uncomfortable and unsupportive as an adult, so can imagine they wouldn't be great for kids. I made the mistake of letting my daughter wear crocs all summer last year, which apparently wasn't great for her feet - whoops
  13. If you use Formule 1 or similar do book online beforehand as in the past I have turned up only to find that they are full
  14. I would go up a size if he is in size 3-4 Sainsburys clothes. My son is a tall 2.7yo - he wears age 3 Boden trousers (but could wear age 4 rolled up). Try and find a code for free delivery and returns so you can exchange easily for another size if necessary
  15. They are not ofsted registered - I was only hoping they were so that I could pay using childcare vouchers. Not a problem otherwise, it seems like a lovely little nursery. My son started there this morning
  16. My son is going to start at Magic Moments. Does anyone know if they are oftsed registered?
  17. My solution with my 2 year old is to do them after his bath while watching tv (a treat, as usually we are straight into bedroom for stories after bath). With my daughter I think I used bribery (chocolate buttons) when she was smaller, or I did them when she was asleep.
  18. Yes I remember Flip. Was it where the M&S is now? Also remember Dicky Dirts
  19. The best nappies I used were the bumgenius organic (one size all in one), bumgenius flip (one size adjustable outers and inserts) and fuzzibunz elite. I think those bumgenius might be discontinued now (I've sold mine already) but you should be able to find them preloved on www.clothnappytree.com . YOu can still get the fuzzibunz elite new
  20. If you want to avoid a decongestant try using a saline spray to clear your nose - worked well for me - there is one called Sterimar that is good
  21. I like the Le Toy Van one because it's not too big and can be stored on a shelf/unit easily and it's quite attractive. My son is delighted with his.
