Mrs Phillyboy has had some people round saying that they are doing some survey around Heber/Jennings Rd. She neglected to get any real details though, but they said they were going to come round on Fri/Sat/Sunday. Anyone know if its a scam.... I'm a little dubious of people who come a knocking....
I reported a driver jumping off the bus and shouting at me "I hope you f**king die today" after I had to slow down as my chain had come off. Complaint was ingored - I just wish I had been wearing a helmet camera and then stuck it on youtube
Not that I jump red lights (I do have lights though :) ) but pedestrians sometimes do not do themselves any favours (me included): a) Cross roads not at crossing points b) Cross at junctions when they see nothing coming, but the lights say don't cross Are either of thsoe against the law? I've nearly hit pedestrians doing both those things...
I go from Heber road to Liverpool street. Up Dog Kennel Hill, walworth road, london bridge. Max i've managed was 15.2mph (no red light jumping) My wheels ae out of commission at the moment due to the damn nasty potholes!
I think a lot of people are doing the Ride of the Falling Leaves with Dulwich Paragon - seems there are lots of events on Sunday... pitty the weather looks so ropey
Made up of cardboard plus aluminium I think. As they are a composite material I think they are a right pain to recycle. Hence most councils don't do it. I've always wondered when I "recycle" them whether they just get dumped into a landfill anyway.
I was thinking about picking myself up a single speed (or possibly fixed) but my cycle to work takes me up and over Denmark Hill. Anyone here do it on a fixed? If so do you mind telling me what ratio you find works ok
It may have been a couple too many Tiger beers, but I could have sworn that the new owners of the Three Monkeys in Herne Hill have employed the services of a belly dancer......
yea thats the one I was talking about - was wondering if they were going to leave the old tyre shop sign there for posterity. That end of Lordship Lane really is changing...
