  2. Do bye-laws have to be passed for these to be enforced? Dogs should be on the lead round the pond, and a lot of people do not seem to do this, even though the signs have been there for a long time. Too many dogs jump the fence and harass the ducks etc.
  3. Noticed today that the Furniture Mart next to Kwik Fit has closed down. It was open a couple of days ago.

  5. Yes, probably just a missed collection. If they think there is something in the recycling bin that shouldn't be there, then they attach a note to it to explain why they didn't take it.
  6. We had a below ground trampoline and always removed the mat in the winter, because we got snow. Also, you would need to check into what effect freezing temps would have on it. Agree with the fox comment, they chew everything.

Surely they should be concerned about their budgets.
  8. I thought the right to buy discounts had dropped drastically at one point. That's what I had heard from people trying to by their council property. Sounds like they have zoomed up again. Why would this be?
  9. Why not post this on James Barber's thread instead of starting a new one?

  11. It's the Weimeramer who lives in the Bishop and who never seems to be with his 'owner' and is always being walked by Bishop employees.
  12. Use the launderette on Pellatt Road/Lordship lane corner. You can stay and do it yourself, or they will do it for you at a small extra charge. I think the dry cleaners by the post office use them, and then charge an extra tenner or so. Feather and down duvets can be washed, you just need to make they are dried thoroughly. The launderette has tennis balls to put in the dryer to facilitate this.

  14. Good to know, smoked streaky is my favourite type. Will check him out.
  15. What is the bacon like at the butcher by the Plough?
  16. Went into Roullier White the other day and they had a lot, think they were ?30.
  17. Yogurt and olive oil cakes are also nice. Quite a few recipes out there. Just don't use a very strongly flavoured olive oil, use a mild one. http://chocolateandzucchini.com/archives/2005/10/yogurt_cake.php
  18. shouldn't that be l'est dulwich, the new south kensington.
  19. Pasta with ham and cheese sauce. Make a roux, I use brown flour, add milk and French mustard, salt and pepper, when it boils and thickens add grated cheddar cheese, and add chopped up bits of ham. Mix together in pan or add sauce separately to pasta. I like linguine, or tagliatelle.
  20. Had a look at Hyde Housing's Facebook page, it's full of complaints from their tenants.
  21. Thanks Louisa, how do you eat/use yours? I do like Barry's tea as well as the Flahavan's oats. Lidl were selling Taytos a couple of weeks ago, and, I think, the Kimberleys.
  22. Will have to try the red lemonade before they close, and the Kimberleys. Is Galtee cheese like Kerrygold processed cheese? You can also get buttermilk at Sainsbury's, Franklin's farm shop as well as SMBS.
  23. Does anyone have the details of the hierarchy at this place? It's for a property they own in this area. Their customer service section is appalling and unfortunately that is the section you are supposed to make a complaint through. Many thanks.
  24. So it does, and I missed the part that said pathways!
